Another thing this song really does remind me of is a very dark time in my life. This song really hits home because I lost my grandfather in January 2020. My wife, mother, grandmother and nurses said I was crying so hard I was hyper ventilating. I truly miss him every day. There’s another song out there: I wish grandpa’s never died. I never felt pain so bad until that day. Anytime I think about it, I just wanna cry because as strong as a man as I am mentally and physically. My grandfather was honestly my best friend. The last time my wife and I went down to Trinity where he lived to my grandmother’s trailer. My wife woke me up in the middle of the night because she could hear me crying. It’s been almost 5 years and I still lose it every time I think about him. When my grandfather passed away, I went down a very dark, dark path, full of anxiety, depression, sadness, and loneliness. It was through the power of our Lord and the help of my church, family and earthly family that I got through it. The part that really speaks to me is maybe the light at the end of the tunnel ain’t a train. Luckily for me, it wasn’t. It was a life of beauty and serenity worth living. It just goes to show that if you have faith and strength, you can get through anything. Not saying it doesn’t hurt, it definitely does. There are days I still have my moments.

Hi cody, my name is Brian and I live in Oregon. I've been a fan of your music for a long time now. In the beginning of your song I like how I kept wondering if she was beautiful in the past but as it kept going on you said the most beautiful thing that I can relate to which is you still love that person. Let the new wear off to me means also that sometimes after we're so tired of this life we have to let the paint on the house and car fade a little bit just a reminder what really matters and that's the person sitting next to us.
