Not seeing the need for all the unnecessary rolling and back exposure , you already have an outside heel hook at the start

High shelf prevents any back grab....all the other stuff is so we have options. There's not only one way to do anything in jiu jitsu. Also, I'm a big fan of the Double 50. So I like practicing and creating as many entries as I can into the Double 50.

@ correct, what’s old is new , what’s new is old. “Kimura” is just a double wrist lock etc. after 25 years I’m all about efficiency. Looks cool, but still a lot of unwarranted risk and rolling there for something you had as soon as you grabbed his leg. But yeah man styles make fights, rock on 🤘🏻

Whats the scarecrow position ? The detsil at the end
@JohnnyJitsu
@JohnnyJitsu Ай бұрын
@heymanhaha It's a Canto Choke variation. I place my foot of the leg that is over my opponent's head, into his far armpit.....this will make his arms look like a Scarecrow. It also gives me an anchor so that when I straighten my leg, it tightens the choke.

@JohnnyJitsu Ай бұрын
@FR-ty5vn congrats. Best advice is continue to show up. Practice chaining techniques together. My biggest thing I learned at Brown was to see the many paths to getting to a finish. Being able to be confident in choosing a path when the road forks. Understanding how to create and use Dilemmas to lay out a path to the finish.
