Would be interesting to know how soon after first procedure when/if you can drive OK ?

I had LAL lenses implanted and I have no regrets however, you must have lots of patience because after surgery you will need to wear the UV protective glasses 24/7 except bedtime, for a minimum 4-6 weeks. My eyes took a bit longer to heal so I had to wear them 7 weeks. It was very frustrating wearing them that long.

I had the RXSight LAL (light adjustable lense) put in both eyes at the same time. 48 hours ago. I had high astigmatism and high farsightedness in both eyes. I can already see very well at an intermediate distance, although I do have minor healing artifacts as my corneas heal. They give you 1.5 power uv protective bifocals along with the other clear and dark glasses. The LAL now has ActiveShield and the use of the UV protective glasses is less critical. Anyway, I will have blurry distance vision and need the bifocals for up close until I go back for the light adjustment treatments. At that, and subsequent appointments, they will further tweak my prescription until we decide to finalize and lock the lenses permanently.

Too much talking too little information. Finally, at the 7:30 mark or so we get the 30 seconds of detail that matters. Still don’t know who makes the lens or what to ask for.

EXCELLENT ! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU DR. LEHMANN ! YOU PERFORMED MY CORNEA TRANSPLANT BACK IN 2013 . UNFORTUNATELY MY INSURANCE CHANGED AND I HAD TO FIND A DIFFERENT DR. FAST-FORWARD NOW TO 2022 I HAVE A REALLY GOOD SURGEON SUCH AS YOURSELF AND IT'S TIME FOR ME TO HAVE ANOTHER TRANSPLANT. IT WAS TRULY AN HONOR TO HAVE BEEN YOUR PATIENT. GOD BLESS YOU AND DR. I have had BAD vision-- screwed up close AND distant.. coke bottle glasses- etc. all my life- NOW , after cataract surgery- I've got a PANOPTIX lens in my good eye-- left eye still mostly blind from OLD retinal tear and a 4 surgeries.. The vision with the Panoptix lens in my GOOD eye-- is NOT good at all. Around my room at home- it's OK- although some days not good there either- and outside- well if it's farther than 40 ft. from me- ti's bLURRED.. can't read road signs til it's too late- and they're right beside me. Trees at any distance look like dandelions.. all fuzzy- no brances.. wOULD THIS WORK FOR ME-- or is it mostly a SINGLE vision deal?? AND what about approximate cost-- I'll have to pay it myself- since I doubt medicare/medicaid would cover it..

Nicely done and informative. I think I learned as much or more from your genuine enthusiastic response than I have from watching many other more technical videos. Have my cataract consult in two days and am seriously considering light adjustable Lenses with mono vision.

I had light adjustable lens replacements 2 months ago. The cost was $7,600.00. I have had repeated laser adjustments. It has been completely disruptive to every aspect of my life. I still cannot see near or far. I have not been able to drive, chop vegetables, watch TV. I have had to give away tickets to performances. I have to pay for Uber rides for two months, and the end is not in sight. I have been scrupulous with wearing the UV blocking glasses. Meet with multiple eye surgeons before you decide, because there are very aggressive sales pressure for this "product".

Where are eye drops that eliminate cataracts? Why has no one developed this? There are videos here on eye drops for dogs that eliminate cataracts but none for humans. Can someone please answer this? What is concerning is the RELEASE FORM all the eye Drs in my area want me to sign Before this surgery or they will not perform it on me. The Dr is held 100% Not responsible if something goes wrong in the surgery/treatment. This is highly concerning for me as I assume 100% of the risk. Thanks
