I treat the full album as a enormous song, i wouldnt even mind if it was just 1 track either, but i agree with you on for example storm and on this, if it is to be split into multiple songs why not split all these intros into interludes because that way you could have storm for example as a song and the next be judas priest in an playlist etc and it would flow better

You totally got my point here, in a playlist, the 2min30 after the absolutely amazing solo is useless but on the other hand the album is meant to be played as a whole with Time I before. I respect the choice of the artist totally, simply an opinion. Thanks for your input mate \m/🖤

Are you kidding me Vinicius? You're almost in luck not knowing this band. I'd recommend you to listen to the first eponymous majestic album released in 2004 then Time I and Time II (2012 and 2024) back to back since they were part of the same songwriting and recording session. Finally, The Forest Seasons (2017) and you'll have the whole picture of this incredible band. The Way Of The Fire is a total masterpiece, cheers my friend \m/🖤

I don't agree with the sentiment that the song is too long. I like the slower pace of the build up, and I appreciate the extended ambience at the end which provides a moment to reflect on the experience of listening to the album. This song in my opinion is tied for favorite with Storm. I cannot get enough of the uplifting feeling I get from hearing this song, particularly the part with the Finnish lyrics.

I can understand how you feel towards the song, it didn't snap as much for me but the other 3 tracks did fortunately. I really like Silver Leaves for his engaged emotional content but I wanted much more from this one. I think the tempo is too stale, I wanted to be surprised, to hear more transitions, more riff, more spectacular vocals, in fact what Wintersun delivered normally. If the songs was 8 minutes, I'd be totally satisfied haha. Thanks for sharing your impressions mate🖤🤘🏼

Beautiful!

Such an insane song, spectacular. I would say it's the peak of the album, but there is still Silver Leaves (I don't consider either better than the other though). Can't say I agree about cutting the end to be an interlude. I like the choice of having it be part of the song personally.

That’s one of the best song of the year personally and I think The Way of the Fire is even better. One with the Shadows seduced me a lot too, more than Silver Leaves which is my least favourite out of the four 🙃! The 2min30 outro of Storm starting with thunder and rain just doesn’t had anything relevant to me so I would rather just go straight into Silver Leaves haha. It’s a band that generates passion, I love how almost everybody has a slightly different perception and appreciation of it, I’m so glad it’s finally out for us to dive head first into it, cheers mate 🤘🏼🖤

Same here! I have listened Time II like 20+ times already from start to finish and thought for the first five listening times that this is the "weakest" song to me in this album. God how wrong was I. This is the strongest and most epic song of this album! Absolutely fantastic, intense and beautiful song! All four of these musicians gave us everything they have. Kai is crazy good and violent at drums, Jukka's bass kicking like hell, Teemu is an absolute beast and unit on guitar and Jari's voice is such a blessing. I have never ever heard music so perfect and polished like this. Thank you Jari for birthing yet another beautiful gem to us, I will cherish this foreeeeever, foreveeeer! 🔥🔥♥️

Like everyone else on this planet you have missed the important parts as intended then and now. Unas's story is told in Myth 900 years after his death. The book is called "The Destruction of Mankind" also known as the "The Book of the Heavenly Cow". It establishes the Divine Right of Kings to Rule and Annihilate all those that are not for the King. It's a scary book but with a good ending. Everything in the book is what Unas did, just not in the way the myth says. Unas flooded the Nile, pulled up the papyrus, and destroyed the roads from the Nile as his people smited those trying to escape the fast rising river. Unas did this to keep Upper and Lower Egypt united as he and the Ennead priests at Heliopolis thought it the best way to put down rebellion and scandalous talk. The entire VI dynasty covered it up and this Flood Hymn is broken up peices in the Pyramid Text. Egyptologists say their is no history in the PT. Begs to differ. Utterance 248, 254, 271, 279 and 302. Use anyone but Allen.

Thanks for providing all the very precise facts, glad you did it, obviously it’s very interesting to know for someone who loves that song to death! Have you watched my recent interview with Karl Sanders ?

I liked both the song and video clip, my first time listening to Sataz🤘! By the way, nice T-shirt man! Iron Maiden is such a great band, they introduced me to the metal world back in 1989. Some of their songs still remaining among my all-time favorite songs. I love The Evil that Man Do, Wasted Years, Revelations, Hellowed be Thy Name, Die With Your Boots On ... man, the list is huge.

I’m quite surprise Silence is stuck in the middle, it’s my one of my ultimate Power Metal masterpiece but I think your ranking makes sense anyway. I have to admit I neglected The Days Of Grays for years and with time it grew a lot on me! Thanks for sharing your take on their discography 🤘🏼, what are your favorite PM bands ?

@@metalanthology Silence was my 2nd favorite for some time. I feel like they're always changing. I listened to The Ninth Hour during my workout today and forgot how much I love that album and I could easily move it up lol.

To answer your first comment, absolutely, taste are evolving and sometimes you can get tired of listening too many times an album and it will show in the ranking and not because it's not as good as it was. Personally, Silence will always stay first because I think all the melodies are memorable and full of emotions, amazing diversity also in the songs. As for your top 10, BG is my favourite Power Metal band no doubt, Sonata and Rhapsody are up there too. I love the fact you have Falconer there, such an underrated gem. Much love for Helloween, Orden Ogan and Strato also. Thanks for the follow up and check my other rankings of other Finnish bands like COB, Kalmah, Strato and Wintersun. Cheers mate

Difficult to hide how much a fan of BG I am, thanks 🤘🏼! I love your list with some incredible deep cuts like The Soulforged, Another Stranger Me (so underrated, what a wonderful solo), Thorn so epic, Otherland the best track on ATITM, When Sorrow Sang, Theater of Pain and more. The only one I can’t concur is The Ninth Wave , too long for what it is, still very good track 🫠! Thanks for sharing your top 15 🖤🤘🏼
