Your house siren, The 3T22, doesn't seem like its high damper/solenoid is working, I will say it shouldn't be a hard fix most likely, but thought i should mention this, just incase! The siren itself works perfectly though other than it not doing the full High/Low, but a pretty nice video showing everything i will say! Great Video! :)

A fire dept. in a town as big as Postville should be able to afford better apparatus than that old engine. Taxpayers need to kick in and invest in their fire dept.

That siren doesn't sound as healthy as it used to be. Sounds like the top damper is stuck open while the low damper works properly.

Awesome Video!! Great response team & 3T22! As for the 3T22, I'm not sure if it's just the video/echoes but it sounds like one of the solenoids isn't working properly. That would be the reason why it's sounding "Hi-Dual" instead of "Hi-Lo" like it should be. Also, is that siren still a noon whistle?

@@pvilleff33 commenting from Nebraska. The 3t22 siren hi/lo is one of my favorite old sirens I enjoy listening to. It has a melodic tone to it. Brings back memories of growing up in the town of Nickerson Nebraska. The fire department would use the same siren for their fire calls. To this day the siren is used for the 12 & 6 whistle but I'm not sure if its still used for fire calls.

Iowa is a lovely state with very sensible people. It is time for the powers to be in this community to buy these volunteers some equipment that is not from a previous century. Corn 🌽 prices are up so I think you should be able to find the money.

It's amazing how the use of coloured warning lights varies so much from State to State in the USA. These trucks all have red and blue lights facing in every direction, but in New York, only rear facing blue lights are acceptable.

For some reason I really like 541 and that Ol ford f350, our fire department, which is volunteer in South Dakota, used to have a squarebody chevy k30 or k20 fire pickup/ brush truck. Crewcab longbox most likely a 6.2 diesel, thing sadly got burn't up in a field fire in 2016 after it had gotten stuck and they tried pulling it out but the fire simply gotten to close, so they sadly let it die. As of 2023 that truck is still sitting there after 7 years.
