@bryan50rogers2 жыл бұрын
Didn't realize there were comments...Pull the safety pin, then pull the handle in case of fire. There is a Halon fire suppression system in the car.

Adding this comment to see what's up with Agent 47. Just ordered all Maximum Motorsports suspension for my '96 Cobra. Would like to have given Agent 47 SLA front suspension some serious consideration but there doesn't seem to be anything recent on KZbin and the website is and absolute joke. Has this company died or what? Maximum Motorsports has a great product and I have no doubt I'll be happy with the results but I was disappointed when I couldn't pursue this SLA setup as an option.

if you watch suspension cam videos though the inside tire will have almost no force on the ground, sometimes hovering over the ground. there doesn't seem to be much point taking the effort to get it flat when it doesn't even touch the ground. the only benefit I see is in braking.
@agent47racingOFFICIAL7 жыл бұрын
Its ok if you don't see the benefits. No disrespect, but when a driver gets enough experience and skill from actually road racing a Mustang they get to the point where the car is actually holding them back from going faster. (New/inexperienced guys always think its the car but its always the driver till they really get the skill)...Only then will they actually need an SLA and through experience, they will understand what benefits an SLA really offers.
@agent47racingOFFICIAL7 жыл бұрын
Its been proven may times and with many wins that our SLA has a multitude of benefits that result in better tire lifespan and faster lap times. Be that through better braking, or increased contact patch on the inside tire... Its really a moot point since we no longer sell SLA systems to the public.

Custom longtube headers into dual 3" tubing into a custom muffler that accepts both 3" tubes. The muffler outlet is in the passenger side quarter panel. There is absolutely nothing in the system that can be purchased off the shelf aside from the claims and flanges. Its all custom.

I had a drift HD purchased by my wife, after a month the indicator lens fell out, it was exchanged for a new one about four months later it started to intermittently record as and when it felt like it, that one was also exchanged, we went on holiday two months later and the new one started doing the same thing, as this camera was purchased in case of an accident we contacted the supplier who wanted to send me another exchange unit but by this time I had lost confidence in its continued performance, they did in the end refund the purchase price in full, but I had to pay the p/p three time at £7 a time, not to pleased with the outcome

Still having agent 47 suspension is still limited by a lot thanks to the mustangs keeping the solid rear axle in the back. All this means is that the front end will be able to pull in way better and that's great and all but did you forget that if you are putting more power down (which most guys do adding a supercharger or whatnot) that rear end is going to slide out. I can only see this effective on the drag strip. Then again you can probably see better results in certain model mustangs like the Roush
@agent47racingOFFICIAL7 жыл бұрын
We hold the American Iron National Championship titles for 2014/2015/2016 with 2 different AGENT 47 SLA equipped cars that both use solid rear axle. It's all about the setup and of course, if a driver knows how to control the direction of the car with throttle steering and technique (skill) there really isn't an issue. The only benefit to having an SLA or any other high end suspension system on a drag strip is the weight savings. Most successful drag cars are using stupid little tires on the front end that do less than shit when its time to turn. They don't even use this tires for braking since they have parachutes.

I guess the competition would be Griggs and Cortex. How would your system differ from theirs for the S197? I think Griggs is 200+ pounds lighter than stock in the front and apparently has lifetime warranty.
@agent47racingOFFICIAL9 жыл бұрын
+Richard Shih- It's a non-issue at this time since AGENT 47 isn't currently marketing SLA systems (downsizing and refocusing). Note that 2 different AGENT 47 cars hold the 2014 & 2015 West Coast American Iron Championship titles : ) Keep in mind that buying a suspension (or anything really) is one thing, and after sale customer service is another. Feel free to google "__________ customer service sucks" for each of the companies you mentioned above and see which one you feel most comfortable with. The after sale service and support are just as important as the engineering and manufacturing processes.

I had nothing but problems with drift ghost-s. If you buy one and live in the US. you are screwed cause they are located in the UK. There is no phone # to call and you just going to get a e-mail from them. There no place to help or send it to get it fix. Do your home work I wish I had . $500 down the drain.

I absolutely Love the camera! BUT... the WiFi App is absolute crap.... I've had my Ghost HD since March 2013, and 2 years later it's still incredibly 'buggy' and won't function on most Smart Phones. Without the WiFi function it's nearly useless. It's the #1 biggest complaint from virtually every customer for the past 2 years and nothing has changed or been updated... (nothing I can comprehend) I can't imagine such an amazing camera from a company that has no ability or interest in providing 'simple App' technology.

You're totally right on this mate. I could never get the APP to work and when it did, it only worked for about 5 minutes before dropping wi-fi.

How can #32 spin the car twice and catch up to the 47 car twice? Im guessing there was no other threat to first place and 47 was just tooling around the track.
@agent47racingOFFICIAL10 жыл бұрын
Correct guess. When not being challenged for position, the drivers typically run on the conservative side. Plus, this is fun racing with no cash prizes. The drivers like to duke it out head to head. I'm not saying that 47 "waited" for 32, but there really wasn't a need to go all out while he was so far behind.

So why do most street cars and family cars are fitted with McPherson struts instead of Agent 47 ?
@agent47racingOFFICIAL10 жыл бұрын
MacPherson strut design is simpler, cheaper, and easier to install and align at the factory. SLA has many more adjustment points and requires more parts. Something that costs $1.00 more for a factory to buy can get into HUGE money when you put 2 on each car and you are making 500,000 cars..
@authenticmax635010 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for answering...and one more question... Is SLA just good for using at the tracks or is it also good for using at normal bumpy streets and roads ?
@agent47racingOFFICIAL10 жыл бұрын
A good SLA suspension will have improved geometry and use springs with a lower rate than a strut setup. for example, a 400# spring on our SLA would be equal to something like a 750-800# spring on a strut car. End result is, better ride quality and grip without hammering the car over bumps.
