You are right, Judy, and when there are 2 of them one needs to be specific. Actually, Miles IS right. I often do play games like "miles stay, hartley come.. vice/versa. So actually, he was right. (of course, the dog is always right, handler um, well)

That was a bad call. He got that contact. It bugs me because that might have been his last run. :-(

Thanks Heather! He is mesmerizing! Excuse me while I go clean up the mess from the paper he removed from the wastebasket and shredded.

He was being a little cheater about the jump. I know. Since this was the first time he was doing 6 straight poles and the first time he was driving toward the entry and pushing through, I didn't worry too much about that jump. I only put it there to add some drive. Like so many things I have trained this do to do, one the lightbulb went on, he became very excited to do the activity. I did not want to discourage that enthusiasm by correcting him for missing the jump at this point.

I can see that the timing of my commands is sometimes a bit off. My use of marker words is not very consistent. I need to be more mindful of that. I also should work on him standing on the board and waiting for me to tell him to hit it.

Juliana, it was a private lesson we shared with Becky and Ford. The best way to become one of her students, is to get on her sub list and then take every sub spot she offers you that you can. Of course, you would have to do that with Piper, not fletcher.
@Buddy062711 жыл бұрын
I didnt know she did a puppy foundation class. Or is just a private class? I'm interested to get fletcher in one her classes.
