@@edbarrett6421 awesome. Ya the 750 is a good choice. Can be fast enough to run with the 1000 in A Superbike or superstock and B Superbike/superstock is usually full of 600’s and 750’s. Plenty of people to chop it up with and have a blast. And try to follow the faster guys at the same time. Good luck. Hope to see ya out at some rounds next year

@@jasonetter9171 huh. On bikes?? Track record is like a 1:17. Not sure what amateurs were running 3 secs off lap record. Also track has gotten way worse. The last 8 years the fastest lap has been a 1:19.3.

@@jeffo_511 Yeah, on bikes. The top three amateurs were 3sec off the record. How do you know what the track was like 22yrs ago? Looked just as bad as back then. In fact, it looks better now. In 2002 you couldn't take that line though 10B that you were taking in the video. You had to take a much wider line which killed drive down the straight. Also, no rider aids, quick shifters that worked like crap and you had to rev match and use the clutch for downshifts. I can't imagine that the tires aren't better now too. I heard heard the bar had lowered (nation wide). I guess it's true.

if I remember correctly... when ben bostrom dnf'd and mladin just brought his bike home in second place in 1999, mladin said in the post race interview he was "tired from having to ride so slow". I'm pretty sure he was doing 1:29's :D. pretty sure doug chandler was running 1:28's and won the race. it's just crazy those guys were going that fast around here 25 years ago... on 750's

I would think typically he'd be able to find another 0.5 by time qualifying rolls around, but typical ohio. full weekend of rain in the month we usually have droughts :P

Just did my first track day here about 2 weeks ago and now Im addicted. looking to buy a dedicated track bike. Any good suggestions? Also great video like the commentary.

@@eankramer5274 sweet. Yep. Im addicted also. Haha. And dedicated track bikes, guess depends what u ride now and budget. The r6 is the ultimate and plenty of parts available. Most the older 600’s seem great for track riding, easier to ride than the 1000 but still fast enough to get the adrenaline going. Haha. And you’ll learn quicker on a 600 than a 1000, but man the 1000 is the ultimate and so crazy and fun and scary all at the same time. lol

@@jeffo_511 yeah I took my 2023 zx10 there but they didn’t let me lose cause I was in the beginner group. I don’t want to lay that bike down or anything cause it was to expensive just looking for something a bit cheaper in case I wreck. What year should I look for I’m trying not to break the bank .

@@eankramer5274 I mean u could always find a nice setup 2015+ r1 for around $10k or under. Or a 2008+ r6 for $4-6k. You’d learn more on the r6 or a zx636 even. Not sure what years the zx636 are good or not though.

Caught the last couple races on Sunday and noticed EVERYONE was shaking pretty good the 2 foot wide by 15 foot long black spot coming out of 10b, I noticed the same on the 7th for a track day.... Hey Jeff, got to see your suit first hand at Grattan earlier this month. Very impressed with how the suit looks and the finish of it. My son was able to get picked up by OneX for this season and his suit arrived the day after WERA at Grattan (Doh!). Definitely agree about it now really feeling like Roo. A lot thicker and stiffer feel than my Teknic Speedstar Roo suit. I will say for me personally, I will be going thru Matt Racing this fall after seeing yours in person and this video walkthru!

No idea. lol. I know the front pinch bolts aren’t much. Front axle isn’t a lot either cause the pinch bolts do most the holding. The rear axle is maybe 80ft lbs.

@@bladerunna2022 oh front and rear sprocket you asked, ya sorry man. I wire tied my front sprocket bolt and the rear sprocket bolts I go like 50-60ft lbs. the are lock nuts so shouldn’t need to be crazy

Might be the tune or the gearing. Can’t change gearing without a new tune. Also check all the linkage on the shifter.

Are you using the original probes? No errors? But can you change the AFR ratio from the software?

Yes. Using original o2 sensors/probes. No errors. And the rapid changes the afr for u. It adapts the afr while u ride. And u can also change them yourself alittle. Not a lot.

Badass man. How do you get into racing sport bikes? I’ve ride dirt bikes and don’t have a desire to ride street bikes for transportation, but always wanted to get into racing them. No idea where to start . Looks incredible though great racing . Way to go!

So they have diff organizations you can ride bikes on closed tracks. Start there and learn a little and get alittle faster. Then from there the same organization can offer a race license once u take a one day class. Then your racing. lol. Plenty of race org all over also. Look up www.sportbiketracktime.com they are one of the biggest track day orgs in the USA
