I have it, and used it last night at a gig. The numbers do not look digital or like a screen at all. It looks like a piece of plastic under a plastic cover. I am a techy type person and this does not look electronic in person. No light behind the number to illuminate it. Flat, matte looking plastic. My only complaint is that it's not 3 digits or 4 digits. It is robust and solid. Can be handled by the spectator. It is very well made.
