영화관 라이브버전 구매해서 보려다가 없어가지고 이걸 봤는데, 테무서 사온 해적판 영화 dvd 보는 느낌이긴 하지만 전체적으로 뮤지컬 진행이 어떻게되는지 알 수 있어서 도움이됐다. 그래도 미국이나 영국버전들은 한국판과 다르게 raise you up 에서 찰리의 마음을 확인한 로렌이 찐하게 키스하고 이후 찰리가 멋쩍으면서도 행복한 표정으로 안무를 이어나가는 장면이 어김없이 나오는데, 이게 정말 맘에든다. 결말은 이래야지!

I'm literally shocked! This is the most disgusting, low-grade production by amateur actors. I honestly can't understand the positive reviews. The quality of the performance compared to the German version is close to zero. This cannot be shown to the audience! In some places they don't even hit the notes! Dancing scenes are a type of torture! A mediocre show, far from professional.

It's official- this is my favorite production of it! The way Adam Shields emotes during Transformation is the best i've seen, it really does a good job in showing the energy and how much pain he was in

I agree he did a good job but that hardly makes it the best production of this musical. If you think that, no offense but you must not know that much about music. The music of Jekyll and Hyde is outstanding and the story line itself amazing but so are many other musical productions. You have to look at both the music and the story line in order to give a proper judgement of any musical. Still, I DO understand the excitement because showing the transformation from Jekyll to Hyde is SUCH a hard thing to do. Many cannot handle it correctly. In MOST musical productions you also have to look at the accent used and if it fits where the musical takes place. This musical took place in London and therefore everyone in it should have had the correct accent. They did NOT. People don't go around dancing and singing in the middle of the street, so EVERYTHING that can actually keep the audiences attention away from that SHOULD be taken into account. Still, either way it's rather idiotic NOT to note the fact that EVERY musical production takes time, energy, etc. from ALL involved in order for it to be created. It's like a family, it's theatre but like family and EVERYONE matters in a family. I see potential in the lead but honestly, the lead is hardly EVERYONE. This is also hardly the best production of this musical. Take Lucy for example...the girl that played her seemed a bit shy. The character Lucy wouldn't be shy at all! Not doing what she does for a living. If it were MY production I would have changed the choreography as well to give more of a Bob Fosse feel. That would fit PERFECTLY where Lucy worked. Everyone knows Bob Fosse's style gives a sexual feel which is what you would want from people who work where Lucy worked. Still, that actress does have a good voice and I see potential in her. They should not have been so dressed up there though and they should not have been so shy. I'm not one to go around showing everything to everyone and I'm sure those who were in the scenes with Lucy wouldn't either but a musical is not about the actors. Musicals, etc. are about the AUDIENCE, capturing their attention as much as you possibly can and making them get caught up in the story line is what you want. The characters they were playing WOULD actually go around showing what they have to everyone for money. That is how those characters were written. How they acted simply does not fit for a place like that. I didn't FEEL like they were acting that much either. They didn't grab my attention and every actor needs to grab the audiences attention. They need to work on their acting because I'm sure that they're doing what they love. They have to act correctly if they want to keep going up doing what they love. If EVERYONE tells them how wonderful they did, they'll NEVER know that they truly do need to continue to learn. They should continue to work on their acting skills. Saying otherwise really doesn't help those in my theatre family. Although, not EVERYONE is from theatre, so not EVERYONE can say proudly that they are a part of the art family around the world. I can though! *GRINS* Again, I say EVERYONE MATTERS in EVERY musical, etc. production because guess what!? THEY DO! That would include back-stage workers, visual artists, musicians, etc. You do not have to BE a lead in order to matter. No production would even be made without EVERYONE. There were a few people who I saw potential in but it would have been a much better production if everyone sang in tune throughout it as well. That REALLY is some outstanding music but sing it off-tune, etc. and it can hurt the ear. Still, keep working on what you love because everyone matters. NOT just the lead!

@@MsTaylorsArt people can have opinions Taylor. I'm 16 and you're right, I don't know much about music. I've only ever been in plays(where I've been side characters, trust me, i know leads aren't the only important part) I found a version of my favorite musical where I loved all the actors, but I mentioned the lead because he was the one signing during my favorite song. I guess I'm just confused because what about my 2 sentence comment about how I loved the actor, and that it was my favorite performance out of the 3 productions I've seen make you think that I only care about the lead and that I just ignore the bad parts. I know it's not perfect, it doesn't have to be, but I'm not going to comment about how an actor played a character shy, especially because to me I like how she played her. She didn't necessarily want to be doing that job. Also, if were going on about how it's not exactly how it is in the original production, then why don't we look towards the original book? Neither Lucy or Lisa existed in the original book, so in my opinion there is no right way to play them. Again, I'm just 16 and I just wanted to comment on a musical that I find good, I didn't expect to get reprimanded for this. I'm not even going into acting, I genuinely do not care if they didn't play the characters how you think they should be played

@@JekyllJekyllHyde14 First off, it truly doesn't matter if you're 16yrs. A 16yr old can be rather intelligent. It is simply ASSUMED by some that they cannot be. You are absolutely right! People DO have their opinions and mine is that they have more to learn when it comes to music and acting. There is NO shame in wanting to learn. Let me help you out because you did say you were confused. As you said your comment was about ONE person. Please, look at the other comments. MOST are also about ONE person are they not? I left a comment as an expression of that fact, not just your comment. I realise that at 16yrs old, a person feels as if they can do anything. You may feel as if I decided to comment due to you and you alone. I'm sorry...that simply is not the case. Maybe at 16yrs, you need this explained to you. I do not actually spend my time watching and commenting on things based on ONE person.Nor would anyone who works and does not have the time for such things. Although I'm fully aware that most teens today thrive off of that sort of thing. Interesting, that's what's called a facade! I am hardly a teen and not interested in that sort of drama in the least. I DO have to admit that I wouldn't want to deal with the things you kids have to deal with today. Any adult should realise that and give you all credit for it. My talking about the girl who played Lucy was also NOT only about her. This is just one theatre production and only one. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I stand by mine. People can take it or leave it. I truly don't mind either way. Know this though, I work and don't have time to do this again. Don't expect a reply from me if you continue to comment. I don't do the online drama thing. I believe drama should be saved for the stage. Be well. Please remember that 16yrs old does NOT mean incapable of understanding anything, etc. You also will NOT be 16yrs forever. Namaste
