One of the best female vocalists of all time, for me anyway. Her voice is so angelic, so pure. She sings with such emotion, such feeling in every song she sings. I would love for her to come to Canada sometime because I know I'd enjoy it to see her perform live. God Bless you Mary Black

There can be no comparison with the beauty of Mary Black. Her character in the bones of her face undisguised; her mouth; the steadiness of her song In the severence of her losses; the plainness of her grief. I would give so much to be a part of her. But perhaps not to sully her at all.

Time, eh ? I discovered Mary during the lockdowns of 2020 - 2021, in the worst locked down city outside of China. Now, Mary's songs remind me of the connection with family that was the joy of those 2 otherwise awful years, like old rock 'n roll songs are of our youth.

Even the magnificent Mary Black can't quite match the original by Sandy Denny. Sandy truly was a one-off talent.
