@@akilcharles3473 hahaha! I actually made it a point to not use Rufus' theme. I mean not only was the video a bit long, but I wanted to pick music that could identify with Rufus that isn't specifically his theme. Like I used a song from Street Fighter 2010 for my Ken video. It makes sense to me and is part of how I enjoy the process 🤙

I like to imagine that we will see a Successor to Gen with a similar gameplay style to Omega Gen and with some added flair to it, especially since there was concept of Gen having a granddaughter

I'm the type who prefers the genuine article or something entirely new. Obviously it's hard to make something new in terms of fighting game stuff. I don't really care for the illusion of newness by putting a new skin on an old model.

Honestly it can be hard sometimes and I don’t know why like whenever I go for a focus attack then I try to dash and go for a dragon punch or ultra while using a Shoto or Just Oni

Maybe check your inputs when you do it. You can buffer dash after focus attack, and then get your first qcf input out before your character has recovered from the dash.

Haha! I think I said in the description that you jump cancel heel into specials! You can jump cancel into focus attack and ultra also but ultra doesn't combo.

is there like a block in the game or something? because it looks like you took hits quite a few times but took no damage and you just like got knocked back a little bit

Nope no block button. You don't take damage just walking into enemies typically. And I'm not sure how all the hitboxes work in this game, but for whatever reason, the times when the dogs jumped on me, the same effect happens.

Rwise from your Gwabe! (seriously that's how I remember hearing it as a kid lol) I have VERY fond memories of this game, it was at a little hotdog and burger joint right off the beach where my family used to go to for summer vacation in Myrtle Beach...I still remember the taste of a corndog and fries on the beach with sand blown into them lol...REALLY salty fries thanks to that saltwater blowing off the ocean....man I REALLY need to go back to that area, I haven't been since I was 17...been near 20 years now.

thank you for sharing this memory! I was too young to play this game as a kid when it was new. In fact, most of my life I only really ever had played the Genesis version. Just recently in the past few months I started working on this speedrun sort of as a byproduct of just checking out what the arcade version was like.🙂

@@SethOPM I wouldn't say it was NEW per say lol the game hit arcades in 1988, 3 years after I was born so I didn't play it until the early 90s...1993 or so at the earliest.

@@ShinKyuubi haha for sure. yeah it was the first game on Genesis I played, probably in 90 or 91. Never knew about an arcade version, or that games typically had an arcade version before being ported to console back in that era.

@@SethOPM I grew up on going to the arcade, there was a small one in the local mall...which the mall itself has fallen into "Ghost Town" territory but back in the 90s it was THE hot place in town....arcade, big merry go round, lots of stores, 4 screen movie theater, food court...things started to go downhill for the place after the 24 screen theater was built less than 2 miles up the road from the mall, death knell really started hitting when a Walmart Supercenter was built right across the road. They tore down the food court area a couple years ago and built a Dick's Sporting Good store stand alone building in it's place....I miss the good old days.
