Very Helpful! But my question is why do you not trace the top of the facing to the top of the skirt? Should the facing have more of a curve than the skirt top? Thank You!

Great tutorial! So then, how would you do that in reverse? How would you split a dress block into your basic bodice block and skirt block?

For a full circle skirt should the waistband follow the curve of the skirt or be straight? Thanks!
@melaniegillbank5 ай бұрын
it would usually be straight, but it depends how wide the waistband is and how high it sits on the body. A thin waistband can be straight and sit anywhere. A wide waistband would need to be shaped so it sits on the body nicely.

Hello, nice video. In the instance of having to block fuse 1 pair of fabric, is it possible (or recommended) to fuse one side of the fabric with the other by using double sided fusible interfacing? In my case I've been asked to "block fuse" 1 pair of fabric for the waisband of some cotton shorts. Thank you.
