Just came across your vid. We've been on the road 2 yrs now. My Must Have, in addition to yours, are cable ties, gorilla tape and a shovel and hubby's is guy ropes to secure the awning. If people are planning to free camp, then a grey water tank or tote should be on their list as more and more free camps stipulate them as needed. Enjoy Ningaloo and Exmouth.
@360-Explorers7 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for the comment! Wow 2 years is awesome!! Yes cable ties and tape is definitely a must! We have been doing alright without grey water tank. I suppose having a dog we can’t enter national parks which means there isn’t too many places which we can’t just let out grey water. There’s always lots to learn as time goes on.

Enjoyed your video. A must is a sense of humour as your in a confined space together. We have a water bladder which we use a lot, we travel with it empty and fill it when we’ve camped and go into towns we fill the bladder and then fill the caravan water tanks using a 12 volt pump, we drink our caravan water and have done for the last ten yours of travel and have never been sick, we have filtered the water using a BEST water filter. We have a diesel heater which we use more than the air conditioner.
@360-Explorers8 күн бұрын
Thank you 🙏 yes and the bladders weight next to nothing when empty. Plus the size of them are practical. We sometimes use the 12v shower pump in a bucket and we fill up the bucket from the bladders. Or just a funnel depends how we are feeling. lol we need to do clean of the tanks and buy a high quality filter. Then I need to convince Sofia by drinking it and staying alive lol.

Wait till you get in the bush parts then you will see SNAKES... Growing up out bush riding dirt bikes I seen 4 while at home 2 while riding and the one tiger I had on a track I was belting down I just got my boot out of the way as it struck at the bike. They are quick and they have no care if your driving or walking they will just cross in front of you
@360-Explorers8 күн бұрын
That’s insane. Yes we have heard some are quite aggressive. Especially when the babies are around. We’ll just steer clear as much as possible lol. We also sometimes use vinegar as a deterrent smell. If are close to bushes and things.
@UnforgivenFishing8 күн бұрын
@@360-Explorers never heard that one before. Hopefully that works and keeps them away. The snakes just don’t care as long as you don’t provoke them usually but then the others just nasty and want a piece of everyone

Great video. A $10 elastic bandage or two will save you if bitten by a snake. Was going to say a 100lt water bladder that can sit on the floor (know you foot well is full), can also put them in the ute tray (guess that full also). But 100% agree that water is number 1 and so hard to get. We would always ask for water when refuelling, even if it's only 20lts.
@360-Explorers8 күн бұрын
Yes, nothing ruins a great time like running out of water and having to drag the caravan back to town to fill it up. So having the option of bladders is a must! The elastic bands would work too. The snake kit is pretty much a few bandages and a plastic to keep the limb from moving.

Well done 7 great things to have..😃👏 I have 2 water blades. One 120 L and the other is 220L they are the best investment you could have, you don’t have to fill them right up if you don’t have too. They cost $48 . And $ 54.a small pump if you need one . Take care.

We leave our jack in place and hold the foot up using a turn buckle so it won't slide down.

That's a great idea! We need to do something similar, but the welding which holds the jack onto our van has also been damaged so we need to decide whether we drill into the drawbar for extra strength or get it rewelded! Thanks for the comment

If you want to do the tougher tracks, the desert tracks then towing a caravan is not the way to go unless you care not about the caravan. Get a rooftop or a camper trailer.
