Has this thing been improved in any way since its release? I have a few friends with these things, and they're not happy with them. They catch going up and down, and sometimes they've just stopped working. I think they're all using them as just a transfer board at this point.

This is the newer improved Asento seat. The original was the XL board. However I have never really has trouble with them except the fold down bar moves too free when it breaks in.

That chair looks very bulky. Car has big boot. Doesn't look viable for a small car, all the lifting apparatus appears to be kept permanently in the boot.

Nice to see such a thing, but it would have been better to actually SEE someone use it- it doesn’t look like there is enough room to clear the door with someone’s knees. Also, it would probably give someone more room if the door were on modified hinges allowing it to swing further out.

I can't find a price and if it can be used on a 2017 toyota rav 4. There are so many products called a smart lifter! Why font websites have prices so rather than get uo false hope we know we can't afford $5000! Its not cheap just wanting to leave home. Able bodied people have no idea that insurance won't pay for anything lije this - nor the $2000+ chair he is lifting in.

Try calling Mobility Innovations themselves. I just spoke with them and they're extremely knowledgeable and helpful with pricing and to answer any questions. For me, it's been super freeing to have my new mobility scooter but not being able to get it in and out of the car makes it useless! It's a big investment but totally worth it! Can you tell me what the seat height is at its lowest point on this truck? We have a Ford F-150 with a Link seat and want to upgrade to a F-250 Super Duty with a diesel engine, but worried about the transfer height and if the seat will come down low enough from the higher truck. Thanks!

Need a demonstration with various sized people. Too tight between door and seat for me and most other people except above knee amputees. I am 6'8" - 375 lb, below knee amputee drive a 2019 Chevy Tahoe LT. Thank you for posting this video.

If you were older and needed assistance or jumpy at movement then being slower is the best option. It also has a 350# weight capacity. The gear reduction make this possible.
