As soon as this started I was blown, my mind instantly went into time to learn everything about the workings of this game and memorize it. I played this game till the laser burn kicked in from my ps1. Last known party was an all monk with supportive sub jobs. They all knew teleport. Because why the hell not. I still use it at this point when I want to focus.

This theme sounds very Chrono Trigger-like to me.

Anyone else think that the Warrior of Light in the logo is Garland? It looks a lot like his over world sprite in the NES game, he is the only character with those horns on his helmet, and he is posed next to either the princess or a bat, both of which surround him in the original game. None of the sprites for the player classes look even remotely like the drawing either.

White mage and Black Mage are running low on mana. The Ranger is attempting to pull without starting a train. The Warrior is holding enmity while steering the mob from the incoming train from another party. The Thief is setting up for a skill chain. Skill chain -> Magic Burst. The monster is obliterated. This is FFXIV.

FF4 always stands out as the best in my mind. Everyone was always so heart broken at the loss of a party member in 7, but 4... you watch your old mage mentor die, you watch two kids who you were supposed to look after die, you watch your larger than life monk die, your eccentric airship engineer... I know they bring a lot of them back at the end in the assault against the tower, and honestly... a part of me wishes they hadn't, if only because of how impactful each sacrifice was.
