As Connery didn't do the first gunbarrel for Dr. No and was done by Bob Simmons, wonder why they didn't get Connery to reshoot the sequence right away with From Russia with Love. I know they later reshot it for Thunderball due to change of aspect ratio where Connery did it then. Though I did hear somewhere From Russia with Love wasn't originally gonna open with a gunbarrel and the reused Dr. No gunbarrel was added last minute during the edit. So wonder why they still didn't reshoot it for Goldfinger as they were clearly gonna continue this opening tradition.

I really don't like the first few sequences. The jumping and the hat are really 👎👎 the hat I can live with it although it doesn't give the look of 007 but the jump is super wrong

Daltons body action is the best. Lithe and agile. Lazenby ok. The rest meh. Ohmss has the beautiful heavy bass driven Bond theme. Starting with Goldfinger it became very orchestral especially with that violin that stays till the very end as the barrel closes. Craig and Brosnan aren't able to do it justice. No swagger.

I'm more of a Connery guy. plus in my opinion old school always wins. But I do like Brosnan, Craig, and Moore's. As for Dalton he's ok but George Lazenby from her Majesty's Secret Service his just doesn't belong.

I like Dr.No because after the gunbarrel it gives us a nice little epileptic nightmare

I wouldn't trade Pierce Brosnan's gunbarrels for any of them. The glossiness of the barrel itself coupled with Brosnan's peerless suaveness, upright stance and one-handed shots are just bangers every time.

You can feel the thrill and suspense with the License to kill gunbarell. Cause it was by far the most dark of the storyline

the graphical difference between license to kill and goldeneye gunbarrel is huge, its like a 15 year leap forward in its design

Sean Connery's looks like he's going to lose his balance

Carig looks like he is slumping his shoulders in the Quantum of Solace gunbarrel in my opinion. But Brosnan has by far the best strut and i also love his no bullshit way of shooting, no arm up no nothing, exactly how Bond would kill you his confidence is his style not some over exaggeration.
