I have the garden fairy twyla and the wings aren't tacky. They have an iridescent paint on the back of them. As far as the one grey arm on electrified goes, I'm pretty sure that its just a fashion choice to emulate and 80s single glove look. I always reasoned twyla could manipulate her shadows so she could just do that if she wanted to.

I have a question about her leg! Is her left leg shorter than her right leg, because thats whats wrong with mine! Im wondering if it depends on if they are the china or indedonisa variants!

frankie’s overall look has always been about asymmetry, people who don’t get that definitely don’t understand frankie. also i’ve read that the shorter hem showing the prosthetic leg is true to life and what actual people with prosthetic limbs often do, it’s an accessibility thing? which is pretty neat to see in a doll! i love this line and enjoyed your video very much! my faves are frankie and lagoona but i also love clawdeen’s aesthetic a lot too. cleo’s gorgeous as always, of course. a+ dolls across the board. btw those mystery accessories are a bracelet and wristband! kinda silly to give them a wristband and a ticket but maybe the ticket’s meant to be more of a souvenir piece? but if you check frankie’s bracelet closely i think you’ll be very pleased with one of the details in the design 😁

i’ve only recently learned about the different doll hair types, you’ll definitely pick it up after doing a bit of doll study 😁 polypropylene hair is more dry and stiff and puffy, while saran is softer and feels kind of dense and waxy or almost oily, like the way human or animal hair feels a bit oily even when it’s clean. g3 monster high dolls have one or the other, g3 spectra has saran for example. most of the rainbow high dolls have premium nylon hair, at least pre-rebrand dolls do. i don’t have experience with the unicorn high dolls so i can’t really guess but i’d say compare it to spectra and a rainbow high doll and see if either feels the same? and thanks for showing us these dolls, i enjoy learning about new doll lines i’ve never heard of before! also i’d love to see how you end up restyling the hair on these dolls sometime 👀

Thing on Garden ghouls Twyla head is bug and "feathers" antennas of that bug. That's very cool accessory in my opinion, too bad it's hardly visible on promo photos.

i’ve definitely also heard that doll companies think “girls don’t like green” and i would love to see their sources for that conclusion 🙄 and you are right, frankie was initially not green, i think courtly jester mentioned it in a video covering the g1 prototype photos that came out? that frankie had a human (white) girl skin tone and tested poorly iirc because frankenstein-type monsters having green-tint skin is pretty cemented in pop culture consciousness and the test audience couldn’t tell what frankie was supposed to be without it.

I’m so upset, I actually bought the freak du chique Twyla way back in like 2015 while I was in highschool… to customize. Just wanted a doll with purple skin. Never actually did, but I plucked out all her hair and wiped off all her paint. Never a second thought. Like forreal!!! She is so gorgeous. I’m a collector now but at 15 I was convinced I could customize a better doll and didn’t pay any attention to her details. I still have her, bald and no paint HAHA

great video! twyla’s my fave and i have collected almost all of her currently released dolls, including electrified - the biggest problem with that doll imo is not that her hair is crimped, it’s that it’s poly AND crimped. 😩 (i like crimped hair in general, it’s just a terrible combo with poly.) did you see twyla’s supposed to be included in the skulltimate secrets 5 line? i can’t wait to see that design 👀

i LOVED g2 twyla in the movies.. but her g2 dolls.... also i wanna take this time to talk about all the twyla variants throughout the generations!! G1: She's introverted but she also has a sense of sass and confidence. She's fine with who she is and tries to support and guide Howleen throughout 13 wishes G2: She's much more reserved, almost the same as G1 but less sass according to what i remember G3: She's socially awkward, more shy and introverted than the other two. She's scared to grow up but overcomes this fear and learns to embrace it I feel like all of these are separate universes due to not only the difference of personalities, but ages and bdays G1 Twyla - Age: 14 - Birthday: October 1 G2 Twyla - Age: 16 - Birthday: May 29th G3 Twyla - Age: 16 - Birthday: October 1 Also, loved your video!!
