@@SincerelyYoursOfficial I have watched all your Nova uploads, I think it is great you are saving this old car that was sat on someones garden for years. When you drive it when its done, it will be the most amazing feeling and all the hard work willl be worthwhile. Yes I am currently making loads of video clips of everything, including first picking uo the Nova a few months ago, I had a donor Nova I picked up cheap too, for cuts of the shell to repair mine and save a lot of time. Got tons of videos to edit together. I may try make first video or the series this week and upload it, Looking foward to your updates, also you listen to some great music and enjoy a good smoke so thatsa a big plus in my books too! Haha

It's a shame as its a huge show and brings lots of people. If you didn't realise that people walking in could pay £3 in the carpark and didn't need a ticket.

Even the 2 litre ones seize solid if there's just water in there lol ive probs goosed mine already but I'm planning to do the belt pump and thermostat at somepoint this year as I e no idea how old my belt actually is as previous owner couldn't remember lol I doubt it's original as it would of snapped by now the amount of abuse I gave it coming back from a little meet last weekend lol can't wait to sort the fuel tank issue and get the bigger carb fitted lol might even go with a cam upgrade as well if I can get one cheap, seems silly doing anything else on a 1.2 lol they love to rev though and are so light 🤣 have to have drive down to you if your up for a meet some day mate, only a couple of hours away 👍

And car show season is starting up so should be at alot of shows coming up so ill have to keep you updated on facebook on which shows ill be attending i go all over the country to shows ill be at vboa 100 percent

@@SincerelyYoursOfficial I would love to go 2 litre 8 valve route lol can get them up to 150bhp without too much work lol but a full running engine with all the ecu and everything doesn't pop up for sale very often and I can't be arsed waiting to find all the bits or buying a block on marketplace etc big risks init, a 1.6 c16se multipoint injection would go really well in them mate, same as the gte version, love a c20xe but they look a lot of work to get it to fit and clear the matrix inlets etc I if I had time and a big workshop I'd deffo do it but I don't lol for now mines staying 1.2 :) never been vboa mate but will try and get out and about more this year

@rob180490 yea 2litre 8 valve is a great idea C20NE is what my bros 4x4 came with, such a light car you really dont need to go crazy with the engines to have fun im just going over board really cuz every corner is rotten so i refuse to spend 3 years restoring it to not put a crazy engine in thats my excuse😂 VBOA pure vauxhall heaven mate as a vauxhall enthusiast i 100 percent recommend it

I had to weld a new front end back onto my E plate Nova Sr back in 1998 due to corrosion, I'd hate to think of the average level of rust now on a Nova 25 years later.

Nice one mate! Exterior wise im making it look as much like a original MK1 nova as possible but engine wise its being Saab swapped so either 2litre turbo B204 or maybe a 2.3litre turbo B234 if i get lucky enough finding one when it comes to buying an engine, gunna be pushing around 270/300bhp, gunna be 5stud converted think ima chuck sum Cav turbo wheels on

I got lucky that's all, I don't doubt that mine will need welding in the future as it does get used in all weather's so far 🤣 it was a rare low mileage one as the original owner died so its done 23k from new and that's it lol they are a bit strange to drive at first I find, brakes feel hopeless and but just need a proper hard shove on the pedal and no power steering is fine till you go to park up and want to turn the wheel and you forget and it goes rock solid lol no complaints though, had 2 offers to sell mine so far as they wanted to rip out the 1.2 and put the astra vxr engine in but mines not for sale anytime soon lol the saloons are getting mega rare these days in any form at all, if you have insta or Facebook will have to try and organise a meet or something next year when the decent weather is back 👌 Edit: found the insta lol knew I'd dropped a follow on it, I'll drop you a message pal cheers

Its coming towards end of month mate i spent two weeks off work grafting on the floor done alot but not touched it since only need to spend 2 days to finish the video so all the progress in the next video will be thru 2 weeks even tho its been months since an update lol finding the time around work is hard im too fucked at the weekends to even do owt its ashame but i got time at the end of the month going to out that work in!

Seems to be going well and you're adding plenty of strength. Making cardboard templates is good but you do need to be careful when there are bends to make as you can't bend sheet metal as tightly as cardboard - you seem to have the knack though. Good luck with the progress.

Yea man exactly you always have to take into account that the bends take MM’s off so always measure bigger for that reason, im a fabricator so shes in good hands atleast🙌🏽 cheers mate
