It is obvious to me that the original sin was definitely sexual in manner, but may I propose a different scenario .The word Fruit is used in the bible to describe the Fruit of the womb, the baby conceived from sexual intercourse. This Fruit is good, very good as God said when he first created man. This is conducive and obedient to Gods commandment to "BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY ".
