Imagine being a kid with a guitar and having the people in that room singing along with your very own song.

Such Glorious music...and it was given a very strong heartbeat in the index finger oF JAMERSON. This is a wonderful technique of fading out the melody and just presenting the heartbeat. Thank you for doing this.

Oh the good ol days where you could do this stuff. Me being a young guitarist myself, I wish I could be in one of those get togethers... or meet Steve Earle
@JasonSpanhur6 ай бұрын
Meet some people at a jam, get together an get drunk and play. You can still do this shit all you need is some like minded friends, some old guitars, and a couple cases of cheap beer.

Being born in 1969, and my parents last child, i grew up hearing these great pieces of music, my parents had an ear for music, i remember my dad singing all kinds of music in the house, i wouldn't trade my childhood for anything, some hard times, but the music helped me through

This song showed an amazing level of maturity. And to have this quality of an historical record is certainly a gift to us. I have heard Steve talk about hitchhiking to Houston just for this purpose. To be in Guy's and Susanna's kitchen.

This was shot around Christmas time in 1975, so Steve is just shy of 21. Awesome song, especially for such a "youngster".
