I am really enjoying your teaching and the aesthetic of your approach to watercolor.

Hello. I've just discovered and am enjoying this series so much! Currently trying to paint along to the American Robin and the wren. I love you style and your skill with the watercolor. I've gone to Patreon to look for the reference photos but only see a few of the birds in the series?

Hi Tom I followed and painted along with your tutorial and there it was in the end an owl. Magnificent the way you put paint on the paper and then pull it all together at the end. 😮

Hi Tom, I have just started following you! Your paintings are amazing. How do you choose the colours as they don’t always relate to the photo but work perfectly.

Thank you Tom, I managed to produce 2 birds after watching this - they look like blue tits which is a massive bonus. You are an excellent teacher.

Wow. I'm a total beginner, and there's more useful information in these 11 minutes 11 seconds than the hours of other content I've watched, and the books I've read!

This is so useful! I've only had black dogs (giant and miniature Schnauzer) and always wanted to paint them. However, I found painting all black fur quite daunting.

I happened upon your videos looking for ideas for painting birds in flight. I am an experienced WC artist, but always looking for new ideas. At risk of being cliché I find your work beautifully loose with the kind of expression that can only be expressed in watercolor. Thanks for your suggestions, inspiration and explanations of how you make a simple loose study a masterpiece of the feeling we seek.

Hi Tom, thank you very much for making the video. I’m new and have no knowledge in painting. I noted that the palettes of many artists are loaded or stained with many colour, some of which appeared very messy and dirty. Do you need to clean or wash away the colour after each painting? Or do you leave it as it is and use it again on your next painting? 😅
