It's an awesome bike trail. Although you do see some homeless in the middle of the river at times. They never caused an issues when I been there.

Loved it. I used to ride that from California Street to Torrey Pines every weekend. Oh, on a 10 speed, 50 years ago... And you know what, not a lot has really changed! Always fun to watch.

I absolutely love your rides and barely miss one of them. Can you name the streets that you are on? I can figure out most of them but those side streets sometimes are a mystery. Thanks and keep on these wonderful rides. I have an electric bike and use your travels a lot 😊

I’m a 60 year old roadie. I grew up in Riverside and in my day the bike path did not exist. I live in Chicago, and when I come home to visit I’ve always wanted to ride the Santa Ana River trail from Riverside to the beach. Maybe some day. Thanks for the great video!

gotta learn the dismount for horses... Dont wanna make us bikers look bad. its the ethical thing to do if you don't agree with it that's fine but it only takes a second. if you notice at 3:16 you spooked the black horse. Your better than that ward if you see one in proximity dismount.
@greatbikeridesofsocal2712 күн бұрын
I think you are presuming that I knew of rules and ignored them here, which was not the case. Also, opinions differ among the folks yelling at me here if I'm supposed to dismount or just slow down or stop. Again, no mention of any of this in the signage and I have never seen a biker dismount for a horse. Also nobody can show me where this is a rule or law, just an assumption I'm a jerk for not doing something that I was unaware of. I'll probably stop next time I see horses, but shouldn't get castigated to this extent for not following a law that no one can site.

To bad you couldn't have seen the upper SART years ago before it became a haven for the homeless. All those big tree stumps were large trees that shaded the trail somewhat especially around Riverside proper. Over the years fires along the river mostly from out of control campfires have burned many of them. Perhaps one day the county will put some effort towards restoring and improving the trail.
