In Finland, authority is respected. In Russia, police is a joke and still corrupted and try to get money from tourists with false traffic tickets. Turns out we weren't just tourists and got ourselves triple that amount from the police of Russia. @Anna V If you had ever been to Flow Festival, you would know the atmosphere there is super friendly and peaceful. It is a great festival and by no means does this unfortunate event reflect it's nature or values in any way.

Kansalais Armeija This has nothing to do with what kind of festival it is, i thougt we are talking about if the security did wrong or right? Havent been to flow, but worked as security myself for over 6 yrs in finland, about 200-300 festival gigs so far :)

Kansalais Armeija i was especially at this Flow festival this weekend and i noticed couple rude moments by the guards towards visitors by myself. Also the same noticed other people, not connected with me at all. Even the atmosphere is looked ok, the behavior of the guards i did,t like. A bit frustrating. But it,s my personal impression. And now i see this accident. Which i did,t notice as i was not on Saturday there. Only Friday and Sunday. But i may tell again. I noticed something wrong. I think promoters have to review all the guarding system not just that someone,s fantasy, but it was noticed by many people too. I just think organizers don,t want to make big noise not to scare off artists and visitors in future. But it,s already big deal that they brought everything to light

Removing an artist is akin to removing any member of festival staff. She was not a member of the public and thus not subject to removal any more than the security people themselves.

Well, you can be sure if any staff members would act like that they would throw him/her out.

There are terms ofcourse between festival and security provider but, those clauses are nullified soon as any law or orders from local police is in conflict with the contract. Police usually orders areas emptied before certain clock, this is usually tied to the alcohol permission and festival permission. Security has to enforce and cannot make exception, even festival workers can be subjected into enforcement if it is clear that they are not doing work (cleaning, repairing etc). So being an artist is not going to give any exception.

@megari Are you serious? She was on a public place guarded by a security company. Same laws for everybody! It doesn't matter if you are famous or not (in this case not). You behave or shit like this will happen.

Yeap, that is the reason there is a vip-area. There artists are on festival workers responsibility.
