最近は多忙すぎてエオルゼアにも行けていないし、ウクラマトとの冒険もまだ途中なんですけど、とても癒されました（ ; ; ） ガツンとカッコいいTsukinoさんのピアノも好きですが、エルピスやこういう曲も音色が心を広げてくれる感じがして好きです🫶

I am usually not a fan of XIV's piano cover because of how far they feel from the orignal but right there, you got everything, the vibe, the tone, thats sooo good

Speaking as a former jazz band trombonist, I feel like this was missing something instrumentation wise, I really wish I could put my finger on what it is; it's fine as it, but it's missing something that would make it better

As you mentioned, this is merely a “performance attempting to sound jazzy” and by no means actual jazz. I don’t deny that to someone like you or me, who has musical experience and knowledge of jazz, it might sound disjointed and amateurish. However, the performers are amateurs, not professionals. This is more of a fan cover than a polished musical piece. For example, when a child draws a clumsy picture of an anime character, I wouldn’t critique it by saying, “The placement of the facial features is wrong.” Even if the musical quality is low, the fact remains that many listeners who love this game music are enjoying it. I think that’s a wonderful thing.

As for your advance, this is a point I considered once. But this is not music I made following an existing style as jazz. As this is a three-person collaborative project, it is absolutely essential that the vocalist, piano and bass player are the main players in every scene. I am also a classical music pianist. It is a collaboration of people playing different genres. I know that there is not enough to complete it as jazz. That's not what we're aiming for this time, we're organising it for the enjoyment of the three of us who play different genres. I thank you for your keen eye😃

@@tsukinocrystal3258 Exactly!! As long as you’re enjoying it, that’s all that matters. :) Quality or technical skill doesn’t define it, and no musician starts out playing like a pro. Plus, I totally understand how challenging it must be to create a collaborative piece across the ocean and language barriers. Please keep making music! I also checked out your profile and saw the part where you wrote, “How much can be recreated with just one piano.” That’s absolutely amazing! I’d love to hear a solo piano version of this piece next. It could be incredible if you used your expertise to create a classical-style arrangement too. :)
