I will never forget simon and hawkwind in folkestone lees cliff hall in the late 80's when huw lloyd had to stand down due to injury and simon took his place. Played riff for riff on violin. Never heard anything so magical in my life

I have been lucky enough to see them live on at least eight occasions , each time I could have sworn that it was the best concert I'd ever been too . The energy and enthusiasm during their performances is has infectious as their music is enchanting , and rivaled only by Angus Young for his ability to maintain a constant high energy performance . Hawkwind are Masters of the Musicverse .

Yes. Spiral Galaxy Is one of the most beautiful songs. Somewhat outside of the Paradox. Back in the day we were in The Spirit of the Age. But we were Born to Go because It's So Easy. You Better Believe It. Get home from work in my Silver Machine and it's time We Left This World Today. I get lost in Psychedelic Warlords ( My first Hawk album, Mountain Grill 1974) Watching the videos today W the babes dancing. HOT. Walk into a bar and put songs like Chronoglide Skyway and freak people out. We are a Fable of a Failed Race. Magnu. I first saw them in the 80's doing the Levitation tour, at Reading top rank, I saw them about twelve times, but by the mid 90's went off them, I would have loved to have seen them in the early 70's and later during the Hawklords time, with Bob Calvert. I think I have seen Nick Turner just as many times with inner city unit, and the all stars. Great seeing the comments on here, I don't encounter many Hawkwind fans.

Uma baita banda mas, infelizmente, acho que pouco falada e também me parece que é pouco conhecida - fui conhecê-la somente graças ao KZbin. É sonzaço seguido de sonzaço. Teria sido pioneira e ninguém sabe?

The "Masters of the Universe" came "Out of theShadows" and became the "Lords of Light" and will never be put "Back in the Box". I started listening at age 14. I'm now 65 and still riding the good ship HAWKWIND.

Forever, I've wanted to see footage of HW from the Space Ritual Era. If I ever do, I hope Stacia looks like a liberated chick expressing herself - and not like some page 3 girl in a tutu.

I knew of Hawkwind from the inner sleeve of several records (not sure which label). They appeared to be pitched as a prog band, but somehow I didn't hear them. Really great production values - I'm not a dancer (or fire eater) but I enjoyed the diversions, great stuff for the wife or girlfriend you dragged out to a Prog show! Hawkwind's prog stew has some ingredients and spices that confuse/delight the ear.

I wasn't keen on this when I saw it on the telly when first broadcast and watching this again now I'm still not convinced (though it sounds better if you don't watch it). Admittedly TV post production and all that doesn't help (some bad editing - half only of Radio Gnome!!) but as someone said below to the chagrin of many 'this is Gong in Butlins holiday camp mode playing essentially safe versions of their classic songs' however, at that time I'd long lost my love of Gong having once been a massive fan. The spark has recently been rekindled and I've sought out various live performances. There are a couple of shows on KZbin from tours in the USA in 1997 with both Pierre Moerlin (presumably replacing Pip Pyle due to health issues?) and Mike Howlett where the performance and spirit of the original band is entirely intact - wonderful stuff.
