Turn the volume to 3 and turn the reverb all the way up. This is a Steve Warner special.

Amazing. I left a comment on one of your 00-17 videos as well. If you would be able to give some fingerstyle demos as well, I’d really appreciate it! I was also wondering if you have any way for potential buyers to try the guitar? Maybe purchase/return with some reasonable non refundable amount? Or try in person before buy?
@forrestsguitarsАй бұрын
Thanks so much! I do always offer a trial period, and if you're in Nashville you're welcome to come over to check out whatever I have in stock. I would probably do more fingerstyle demos if I were any good at it!

I have been really enjoying your playing of the two 00-17s and the 00-18. These models are my favorite vintage martins and you play them great. I was wondering if it would also be possible for you to play them fingerstyle? It’s tough for me to pay a lot for an instrument without playing it, and I play a lot of fingerstyle. Thanks!

Thank you! I just responded to your other comment -- feel free to reach out to me directly as well (you can follow the listing link in the description, and that will provide a way to contact me).

Are you using any reverb when recording these videos or is it just the overtones of the guitar?
@softmatzah6 ай бұрын
I think it’s the guitar
@forrestsguitars6 ай бұрын
I actually do use just a bit of reverb, although I can always send a copy of the video without Reverb. There's not too much of a difference.

Nice! I have s 43 00-18. It was $19 at a thrift store in 1985 and only needed $100 to get it in excellent playing condition! It has a huge sound but that is more for the listener. I love to listen facing it. Even a rank beginner can produce beautiful sound

Guitar sounds amazing. You're amazing. Dang, watching you play make me want to throw my guitars on a bonfire. I will never be that good. Liked and subscribed just so I can watch you play.

This is just amazing, the way you play. May i ask what is your personal favourite guitar? The 00-18 sounds great :)
@forrestsguitars9 ай бұрын
Thanks so much! Man that is a tough question...I really enjoy a lot of the guitars that come through here. This 00-18 was certainly a standout. I've also been really impressed by a few of the all-mahogany Martins as well as a couple old Gibson L-00s. I think my playing style fits an old D-18 or D-28 the best though!
@johanhugosson9 ай бұрын
You can have many favourites :) The all mahogany are very nice as well! Thanks again!
