I’ve had my outdoor boiler for 24 years, I live in Northern Vt. I have not spent one penny for heat or hot water in those 24 years. Not only do I not buy my wood but I get paid to clear trees. My boiler burns 4ft lengths, I do not split any of it. I can burn hard wood and softwood, green or dry. People who say out door boilers are a waist of time are one of two things. Lazy and/or ignorant and have no clue what there talking about.

if you don't have cats, you can ask folks for them on Facebook marketplace or a local buy/sell/trade group. Also a good way to get rid of some lol

Planning my 1st visit to Bunyan this year also. I've been following you for 2 years now since I got my Crown Royal installed. You've certainly come a long way from cutting a few little trees out back! I've gotten into the business as well with the purchase of a commercial style stump grinder. Hope I get a chance to meet you and Dad.

If you were to put your side boards 6 inches higher all the way around you would have a full cord but putting the full court on a pick up is ridiculous I’ve been saying this for years people so I got a full cord on the pick up truck is such bullshit it ain’t funny I use the 5500 dodge ram and we overload I always give my customers X extra thank you for approving those I agree with you 100% I think you will be very fine if you can just round off the top but I would say raise your side boards 6 inches up higher and I will allow for the for the sides of the wheel wells

This doesn't explain how to price a tree job, but it does explain some of the factors that would tend to increase the amount of time or effort involved in a job. Here is how to price a tree job. Decide how many full days and how many half days you'd be working in an average week, and how much income to need to generate to cover your costs. Might be $400/day, might be $1500/day, depending on the level of income you are trying to achieve and the amount of expense/overhead you are carrying. If you aren't sure yet, just start doing work for people for a random amount of money. At the end of the day, if you feel like you got screwed, ask for more the next time. Then, use your pricing model along with the experience you have gained through work and decide when you look at a job how many full days, how many half days, etc it will take to complete. You could add a percentage on, add a rental fee if applicable, etc. It's that simple. If you are wrong on your estimate about time, you will learn through experience and get better at bidding jobs in the future.
