Seen a bit of a regrowth with Set 3. Hoping that the game can stabilize and grow. Would like it to last as the game play is fun and just nice to have a way to connect with other Star Wars nerds in person.

Do it. It is fun and the more that we can grow the game the better. Like the decks aren't that much money and set three is so fun to draft. I'm really enjoying where the game is going and I want to see it be around for a long time. I would advice if you don't have a local shop that carries it to just order each starter for each set and do some demo games with locals and friends. The starters are really well balanced even between sets.

Yeah, the cover art back during AD&D 2nd Ed era for both Dungeon and Dragon mags was some of my favorites.

I would say get one of the paperwhite kindles. The ones that don't have all the apps and are just black and white screens for reading . I have one that I use and with the wifi turned off the thing can go about two months without needed to be charged.

Yeah, it's had lots of trading cards. These are from the 3rd version of a trading card game it's had in the last 30 years. At some point I plan to get my hands on some packs for the CCG from the 90's to crack, but for now I'm focusing on the newest game from FFG.

Yeah, it's a fun game. Plays very similar to hearthstone in that you start with two resources and gain one a turn. Goal is to deal damage to opponents base till it had 0 ho left. You can either attack their units or their base. Space units can only attack other space units, same for ground units, unless a card says other wise. Luke magic the gatherings commander format you have a leader that has an effect you cam use all game and it can become a unit if you have enough resources. Hmm I should really do a how to play demo video.

See what got me out of MtG was the rapid fire releases and that I basically felt like I had to constantly be buying product each month. Game play I feel is limited because we don't have the depth of sets like other games. It's kind dull that each deck that plays the same aspects (colors) runs basically the same as any other just with minor tweaks based on leaders, base hit points/abilities, and what cards the player has in their collection. Plus a number of leaders don't really have the support cards they need to really make their decks work. Also, I totally agree that the competitive scene is nowhere near the level of Magic or any of the other games. Heck locally out of the five shops only two have SWU game nights and it's kind of the same core of 6-8 players that bounce between the two locations. Any big events are: one- a full day's drive away; two - capped at the number of players; and three - are sold out as soon as they are posted. Like the game has a small hardcore player base but it's limited because not every shop is willing to invest in the game after issues with FFG in the past. Which in turn means that until the player base does grow then we aren't going to have the competitive scene of the other games, but we can't grow if we don't have ways to expose more players.

@@boredbarista Yea makes sense. But Star Wars also seems like it’s taking far too long between stuff. And with not many local tournaments the games dead here.

@@boredbarista I work at different stores my manager is love me because I say the things are not allowed to. I work 2 days a week I tell The asshole customers where to go and they can go ahead rat me out, we got video and voice recordings they're going to know what a dick you were 😁🤣🤣.

Yeah, been having a lot of fun with it myself... still not as complex and story centered as the old Decipher SWCCG. That game played more like an RPG then a head-to-head battle game like this does.

Fun fact... Lucas film doesn't own all of the likeness rights from the film of all the characters. The models that played the Tonika Sisters in the Cantina scene in A New Hope didn't sign likeness rights as part of their contracts so when the Decipher CCG came out their was a bit of a royalties issue which is also why we have never gotten the sisters as action figures. This is why Fantasy Flight Games and other companies have moved away from using the movie films to produce live-action artwork.
