Thank you very much for this video. I imagine, you are practising ruining for the May pronation. I wish I could hear these bells. Joyce, west Vancouver, B.C.

This is a beautiful old church, but it is sad they try to make a historic church look modern. That metal corpus above the altar is hideous. Should put a proper polychromed crucifix in its place and sell the metal one for scrap metal. Some of those windows look like cartoons. The entire church should have been restored to what it looked like before it was bombed .

17 views...is this the state of Christianity?...have we done a good job in teaching selfishness?..look after number 1?...after all Christianity and capitalism do go hand in hand?...as a Christian or should I say my greatest hero being Jesus I find it tragic and something that needs to be seriously addressed?..but how?...if the church itself seems to have lost its way?...I have found many good things in the Boyle lectures and perhaps that's what it boils down to as Christians, free will?...for I know many people from many other religions that find great comfort in Jesus's message. God speed to one and all. Perhaps Jesus knew it would amount to as much hence the book of revelation? Amen.

Such a beautiful Church. I've lived in London for over 30 years and never been but I'm going next week with my sister.

It would be nice if someone would do a 30m documentary on the 1926 BBC Bow Bells recording of the pre-1961 bells, as the 1926 bells crashed to the ground and broke into bits during the 1941 blitz. As far as I can tell, the 1926 BBC Bow Bells interval signal is one of the most widely played musical compositions ever.

I am trying to find where I was born in 1935. My dad always said that I was born within the sound of Bow Bells at the London Lying in hospital. There were so many at that time. Thanks Pat

The "General Lying-In Hospital" was located on the north side of Westminster Bridge Road in Lambeth (1 mile south of central London). A study was carried out in 2000 to see how far away Bow Bells could be heard, and it was estimated that the bells would have been heard up to 3 miles to the south. Lambeth would easily fall into this category in 1935. So congratulations you are indeed a true cockney.

How we get there? The answer is that the laws have to be changed, a simple matter so long as you have control of the law. That is the tragedy oif the (house of ) commons.
