Did this recording in 1967 and 57 years later the Good News is still as relevant as it was then. Man still has a sin problem, and Jesus is the answer 🙌🏻✝️

✝️🎼🎶 Revisiting this wonderful Christian musical from 1967. I graduated high school that year. College in Carrollton and saw this performed at the Baptist Student Union meeting. My roommate invited me... I am Methodist. This production changed my life and put me on a path that led to 34 years as pianist at my Methodist Church. Christ is the Lord.. O Praise His Name Forever! ✝️🦋

He Shall Live Again - Teenagers aren't supposed to have developed a vibrato that good. Are you sure she was a 'youth?'

In my high school chorus in the 60's, there were 2 girls who had extremely mature soprano voices with vibrato...awesome singers...it is possible...they were 16.😊

Can’t believe I found this!!!! The First Baptist Church of Saks, Alabama recorded this also when my three older sisters were in it. I was too young, but was so proud of them for being in it. In fact one sister, the one three years older than me, sang the solo “Do You Really Care”. I’ve never forgotten that! So blessed to find this and share it with all of them!!🙏✝️😃👏🙋♀️❤️‼️

We performed this at First Baptist Church in Nashville in the late1960s and toured to different fairs with it. I loved this musical and it was wonderful to watch people get into the music. It was quite "revolutionary" at the time with electric guitars, drums and such in the Church sanctuary!

A friend showed me a pic of our old dorm room circa 2000 and I saw the Slabco poster I had on the wall. Just googled out of nostalgia and found this vid--thanks!

Oh wow, does this bring back good memories. I sang in this musical 50 years ago! It’s still relevant today. Praise the Lord.

In the late 90s/early 2000s, there was a very, very small movement of bands that made indiepop dance music, like Busy Signals, Land of the Loops, Sukpatch, Greengate, Barcelona, Kitty Craft (and others that didn't release full albums, and whose names I have forgotten). It's nice to hear this again!

A lot of these artists were active on the Slabco Records label back then. Their website had full albums available to download for free as recently as last year, but it looks like the link is dead now. I’ll have to post some of the ones I grabbed when I get the chance to.

Just uploaded some Sukpatch and a Slabco comp album I had- Didn't see either on KZbin after a quick search so I figured I'd get it out there!

Back then I convinced our sports editor to use "Half Court Press" for a sports segment. Kitty Craft will always be one of my go albums...and kzbin.info/www/bejne/eaW0qoyQgdl-d5o is the jam.
