My great grandfather was an anzac infantry. I am casually googling what weapons Anzacs might have used. I guess he might of came across one of these.

Too young for WW2 and Korea, I still joined cadets and later militia wearing that same uniform … absolutely loved it, but often quite itchy at times lol.

Great clip. Yes the shades were often different because of the different manufacturers once full production started. My father said the same thing (Australian Army WWII). Plus there's a WWII US Film shot in 1942 showing Woman joining the U.S. Army (Woman's Auxiliary Army Corps or WAAC) made in colour and their Olive Drab (OD) uniforms are also in different shades. Also through service they would fade, so having a mismatch is still accurate in a sense, but matching ones still look nice. Great work getting all the items and 'Blankoing'. Have fun.

Would you bring a large pack into battle or just a small pack?
@kevinofishero4 ай бұрын
Hi JB.. The large Pak would always be left back with supplies or at camp. Most of the time the large pack would be carried by transport...

I just did a reservation on one. Just came back home from Thailand and decided even as it was expensive I have to get it, because I might not get any more chance to grab one. Wanted a no1 enfield in my small collection and found this spceial one. For what these remaining guns came through it is in good shape. Cant wait till i can get it home.

Your new (repro) boot has a larger/longer toecap (note how it had creased) and larger heelcap. Units issued with the old style Ammo boots for ceremonial used to have to burn smooth the pimples with a hot spoon, and would then melt heelbow wax (beeswax+soot) into the leather, enabling the glasslike shine of bulling. They would also customarily have an extra layer of sole and heel added, ‘double tapped’) making them better for stamping! (The MoD spec was revised in 1995, and now uses smooth leather, reducing the work required. Troops (eg Guards) now melt in beeswax rather than heelbow, which is still available but much harder to find, and black boot polish, still using ‘magic circles’)

My 1945 No.4 Mk1 (made in the USA by Savage) also likes the round nose bullets better than the hollow points. And the barrel is not shot out by any means. It consistently shoots sub 1" groups at 100 meters with the RN's, the groups open up to about 1.25" at the same distance with the HP's.

@kevinofishero8 ай бұрын
The BD Pants will not fit inside the boots due to the thickness of the material. The Gaiters act in the same way...

I have no idea if anyone will answer me, but if so, I would like to ask if in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5jRqqSXhtl1fLc I could use sten mk2 instead of lee enfield in the second mannequin from 1944 (d-day)
@kevinofishero11 ай бұрын
Hi… If the mannequin was badged as an NCO or officer then he could carry a Sten. The normal infantryman ‘private’ would not. Hope that helps 😎

This apparently is the choice of all men, historian John Buckley offers a radical reappraisal of Great Britain's fighting forces during the Second World War, challenging the common belief that the British Army was no match for the forces of Hitler's Germany. Let me stand corrected, no match for Hitler's Germany? There were a few Hitler's one was absent minded-There was some confusion about their forthright. Evidently, some force was behind their every opus operandi in account of defying their fight. It became a tug-of-war but every side broke even, armature.
