Hi, for beginners like me my suggestion is you can try to take a notes and illustrate it in your notes while having watching a video it helps me a lot to break down the concepts and ideas about music

In the finale a few citations occur, that may shed some light on how we could understand this "triumphant" music. Most important a citation from his own song cycle "4 romances on poems of Poesjkin". He wrote these a few months before this symphony, so very few people will have noticed at the time. You can hear it in the quiet middle section. Shostakovich is citing from the first poem, "Rebirth" in which Poesjkin tells us about a tyrant who smears black paint over a genius' painting. At the end of the middle section we hear the final notes of the first romance where the poem ends with "time will peel of the black paint, and return the genius' work to sight". Even the first four notes of the finale are identical to the first four notes of the romance nr. 1. Also, at the start of the middle section the horn theme appears to be a citation from Boris Godounov, where Pimen says:"my work is almost done, in my chronicles future generations can read about the tyrant's crimes". To me it seems as if the finale of the finale depicts the future triumph that Shostakovich expects his music to going to have over Stalin.

But, isn't it impossible to hold or reach all those notes altogether at the time? They're beyond an octave. They're all 3 semitones above an octave which is very hard or impossible to reach unless you have gigantic hand.

There is another problem. The more the number of sides, _"s"_ goes to infinity, it just looks like a circle with very thick borders. This time, make a progress bar for every beat, and make a number increasing by 1 every time the progress bar hits 100%, and resetting at the end of the beat. Here is a 3:4 polyrhythym example: (88%) 1/3 beats (27%) 2/4 beats

I'm not sure what source you are referencing for the original written stories or English translations. You seem to be speaking of some adaptation that came later.

Is there a way to scan in music written for B flat instruments and transposing for E flat instruments? I have a book I bought and have used for a B flat horn and just recently purchased a E flat horn.

Is that correct what I assume? An open chord is a normal triad but backwards - instead of building it up from below, start from above F, down to a, down to c? Like it’s inverted kind of? Thanks :)

The Maurice Sendak version is better in my opinion of The Nutcracker. Most metal adaptation of the story.

As someone who has struggled with voice leading in music theory, your video has been a true relief, especially as a visual learner with cognitive challenges stemming from a learning disorder. The way you've structured the information has made the process far more organized and effective for learners like me. The only thing I couldn't understand is what you are trying to say when there are no common tones, like whether we move contrary or parallel method. Does it matter which of the 2 we choose? Also, do you have any chord and harmonic progression lessons as well as lessons on descending fifths?

I just realize that polyrhythms have to do with math because they both start at 1 beat and any number can be divided by 1
