From the director's recent interviews it sounds like he isn't going to be like the main director for part 2. He'll be involved still tho. As a psych major, you nailed everything that I had concluded from this ep! In the previous eps, Jun was actually quite hard for me to read but this ep really cleared it for me. And then all I see is people being like "See? I knew Jun didn't like Po!" just because of what he said but they never looked at the micro expressions, the body language, the cinematography, how the scenes play out, all the subtle stuff! That's why I also applaud Nut's (ofc williamest too) acting the most because he really pulled off such a complex (and annoying lol) character really well!

I like that everyone thinks the same about this final scene, but in reality, it will be something completely different, and we know it.😂😂😂❤❤❤

I've been trying to understand jun's actions in the past couple of eps and with this ep we finally get a confirmation but it's leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. During Jun's ep we get to see how much he actually cares about thame and how he's the person who "love him the most" so I kept on holding on to the hope of his actions having a solid reasoning behind them but....no He likes po, that much is obvious, but he knows he doesn't stand a chance so he backs out. I know he tried playing it off as him doing all this just to provoke thame and make him become a better partner (loaded statement let me get back to it in a moment) but we know that's not it. Yes him giving up and taking a step back is admirable but we could've at least gotten an apology from him to thame? Aside from the fact that going for your bestie's crush is wrong (don't do it people), the whole "I thought you were taking advantage of him and didn't like him" is just so illogical and makes no sense for a character like jun. He's so smart and always ahead with a couple of steps and you're telling me he couldn't figure out that thame had feelings for po? Even if he said it just to rile up thame and make him confess, that's not your place nor do you have any rights to interfere like you did. They're adults, just because you want what's best for them doesn't mean you can force your way on them. And the whole thame's been treating po badly is so nonsensical?? Time and time again we see him being so understanding of po and caring for him and most importantly RESPECTING HIS BOUNDARIES unlike someone we know(yes jun I'm looking at you) like wdym are we talking about the same show rn? I really really enjoy jun's character with his unrelenting banter and cheekiness and how much he cares about the people he loves but I have to say this narrative choice kind of let me down. BUT I'm glad we're done with this plot line and finally moving on.

I love that you always try to understand the characters, their intentions, and analyze them more deeply ❤. A lot of people watch series with their own ideas of how things should go, and that can sometimes stop them from really understanding what the characters and story are trying to say.

I totally agree with your perspective on Jun's pov of their relationships! And at the end he backtracked and decided not to even compete anymore so he is not a loser. Also, I hope we get more JunDylan next episode. I'm really curious to know how their relationship evolved. After what Dylan said about Jun being the same way when he was getting closer to Thame and his reaction this episode, I do think he maybe got a crush on Jun when he was giving him all the attention and now he's angry because Jun just dismisses him and has moved on to Po and in Dylan's mind he is also maybe leading Po on. I am a JunDylan truther and I hope we get to see more of them

Your commentary really helped clear a lot of my confusion over Jun's actions. Even though he was unaware that Thame liked Po back, what he did was not cool. I guess, like you said, love really makes one dumber and he was acting on those feelings to try to make Thame look bad, so that he can look good in front of Po. With that being said, the table hockey scene was so good. The back and forth between Thame and Jun, the scoring of points when either of them make a valid point, Thame defending the point when Jun accused him of not liking Po and the final scene where Jun conceded an own goal, to symbolise that he chose to give up pursuing Po as he knew he had already lost. The cinematography!!!

I love the fact that Thame’s friends are telling him “not to treat Po badly” but NO ONE told him to hold his hand and put it in your pocket or remember the phone number or his favourite sandwich or even to stay up all night to learn the song he likes … the romantic gestures are from Thame himself for Po and I love every bit of it😭❤ the visual storytelling of this show ✨Chef’s Kiss ✨😘

You don't need to be genuis to know that jun actually liked po, all this time , like u said read between the lines , he has been thinking all this time that po was delusional and thame doesn't like him back but once he figured out that , he stepped back bcuz he knew their feeling are mutuals and he got no chance, its was a losing game from the start , and that what should be done since he is a friend and a member keep playing would have just made him look bad , now the drama is done, we can finally focus on the main thing which is thamepo dating aera , and we are so ready for that

it was so funny to see the episode, go to the comments and seeing people fully believing jun has no feelings for po. i guess they just haven't seen series with this particular trope, bc the second lead stepping aside the moment he sees he never had a chance against what the others have, even more when one of the other two is their friend, is basically love triangle 101. idk if it's just that they want to believe he doesn't like po, bc it's easier for the series, but nut was really good at showing jun saying one thing but feeling the opposite, so it was insane to see the comments
