I think she had had smallpox when young so she used the lead-based makeup to cover the scars. It eventually killed her, i believe. ( On another note, the sharpshooter Annie Oakley may also have died partly from lead poisoning because the guns she used were lead-based.)

First of all, Egyptians and north Africa were not black. Secondly, although the Egyptian as also other African civilsations (also black ones) had remarkable stuff developed, Greeks are the ones who invented stuff like: Alphabet (his modern form, Egyptians had heroglyphics), theater (drama, comedy), olympic games, gym, geometry, mathematics, medicin, stadiums, democracy, politics, rhetoric, jury court and law, mechanical devices (like steam machine, water watch, hydraulic telegraph, war machines), siences (like astronomy , philoshophy, biology, history, architecture), wine etc. So, please don't missinform. Greeks placed the foundations for the modern west civilization.
