@fortynights1513 I agree. I've said that for years. They were too injured and not as good at that point as the Packers.

He had all the talent in the world but he had alot of demons too. He lied point blank saying he wouldn't use money given to him for drugs when that was true. His teammates knew him well enough to know when to cut themselves away from him. Noll put Bradshaw back in because Gilliam wouldn't listen to the coaches or his teammates. He just wanted to throw on every down and not utilize all of his talent around him

Joe Gilliam had all the potential to be a all pro quarterback and if he only would have avoided alcohol and drugs, the Pittsburgh Steelers could've won 5 or maybe even 6 Superbowls from 1975-1980 instead of 4. The Pittsburgh Steelers could've played both Terry Bradshaw and Joe Gilliam just like the Washington Redskins played both Sonny jurgenson and Billy Kilmer from 1971 till 1974.

Wow. These scumbags never missed an opportunity to smear Black athletes. "If this allegation isn't true, the next one will be." How in the actual fuck do you get away w/ saying that on national TV?? I'm so glad that this era of sports reporting is over where grumpy-ass white men, one of whom (Bill Conlin) turned out to be an actual sex deviant predator, spent all day castigating Black men. Good riddance to these fools.

Steve is operating on a higher frequency than Leno here, there’s a very awkward energy going on - a discord between Steves intelligence and genius dark wit and Leno’s bland superficiality and his futility in trying to appear engaged in the proceedings 😅
