@@TerrySissonJr yup, I get permission to fly in State Parks from each supervisor, quite frequently. I've got the blank form on my phone in PDF format. But this particular location wasn't a state park. I just released 6 videos earlier this month from the Big Bend Ranch State Park. There was an Ultra Marathon a couple of weeks ago. Very beautiful.

I don't know how they do it, but the 50 mile runners (80k) left at 5am, except for 1 runner whose phone didn't automatically change from Mountain Time to Central Time when he got there. So he started 50 minutes late. I met him at Checkpoint Bravo (22 miles into the course) and he told me that he was that late starting runner.

@@SunriseWaterMedia I didn't get much FPV time in that weekend, but didn't want to skip it entirely. I cut out a lot of footage, because those 2 kids were very curious about the Avata drone, but I hadn't asked their parents for permission to include them that much.

The humidity was dry, so keeping hydrated was a challenge for the runners. I wouldn't want to do this race in August however.

They shred the shingles, then use the results to make material for paving roads with asphalt. Good point, though, perhaps I should revisit this old video and show the full cycle as the process happens, right down to a new road or road being repaired. Something for me to think about. Thanks for the idea.

Thanks Lee so sad to see our beloved Medina like this, she has all but disappeared with the severe drought we've been in. Her waters have fluctuated so much over the years but has recovered. We can only hope that she will recover at some point once again.😢

We are squirrel watchers, have 3 squirrel condos up in the trees outside our front window. Found 3 baby squirrels that have fallen out of the nest, mother was run over and the other mom was taken by a hawk. Now they are grown up in a very large 3 story cage. Entertaining to say the least. Great video Lee. 🙏❤️

What kind of permission did you have to get to fly over people and how long did it take?

@@brianmikiten8381 I avoided flying over people by skirting around the perimeter and flying over building roofs, etc. Can't guarantee 100% there weren't kids sneaking off into the trees however. My VO alerted me when it was safe to cross streets or the fields. Look up Drone Service Providers Alliance for info regarding such waivers however. Vic Moss has published guidelines for applying for those waivers. Thanks for watching.

I doubt that I could keep it on the pavement at those speeds. These races allow the drivers to practice legally & I'll bet they are among the safest drivers on the road when things go wrong in icy weather.
