my pattern provider just isnt locking the orb idk -

i could get it to work to make energized steel just pulls iron and sends into orb untill its full, doesnt do iron -> gold, stop to craft, then resume to iron -->gold, repeat etc.

my modular router just keeps sending iron or gold into it when i try to make steel

There definitely is an apatite seed, and also a saltpeter seed which lets you craft potassium nitrate, which is an alternative for niter. You can even craft the sand out of seeds as well if you want. And that makes phyto-gro from seeds! Also automating it with AE2 interfaces is much better imo, insolators output the seed and take it again in the same tick, which is faster than the speed of an interface, and that's saying a lot, so the interface won't steal the seed from the insolator. This means you can use 3 linkage upgrades and an integral components upgrade, which makes the insolators VERY fast. They also grab water and phytogro from the interface stock. I also recommend setting up rftools crafters outside the net to handle the essences and craft them into things, so you don't saturate your main net. Edit: forgot to say, the lilypads farm is really good, very recommended before phytos and bees (there's a honey seed). Issue is farming the materials for lilypads.

Might be a little late but honestly it is easier to just implement a solution that only uses AE2 and there is less conflicts with the differing machines being used. It setup that particular automation put a redstone block under the center and then create an ae2 subnet with each pedestal having 1 storage bus on any face, one each altar set ascending priority if you want consistency in placement, finally place a storage bus on the center piece and set the priority to something way higher than any of the altars. Once each part has its own storage bus place a controller above the center and then connect everything with your choice cable. Once everything is connected, power the subnet. This can be done any which way you prefer just leave room to connect interfaces to the subnet. To automate use an interface to a patter provider, the subnet will be treated as a unified inventory where the priority of the storage bus dictates the order of the insertion. Also, ensure to set the pattern providers that are connected to respect if there are any items in the subnet/inventory so that it will not have recipes colliding when ordered. The benefit of the above is that insertion is almost instant and AE2 respects it's own subnet better than any other connected inventories. PRO TIPS: 1. Connect a terminal to the subtent so you can easy add and remove items from the pedestals/altar. 2. If there is insertion lag and items get placed out of order, use some type of redstone clock to give an input to the altar every tick or how ever long you desire. 2.a. It is possible to use other mods to check if there is an item in the altar and lock the provider but that added complexity is generally not needed unless your world/server has super bad TPS EDIT: The above can also be used on the awakening altar and ars's enchanting setup as long as you take into account the special requirements of each.

at last my proposal has been accepted next suggestion, whenever ur able or interested: nomadic raiders. or a crumbling blackstone-type fort taken over by nomadic raiders (ripoff pillagers) who were once a great imperialist empire. and the fort is one of the original outposts of said empire.
