Are there any differences between the MRCP and the MRCGP? I completed my family medicine residency, so I am considering switching my specialty to become a GP in the UK
@dr.junaid-aleem21 күн бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Yes MRCGP is for GP pathway and MRCP is for medicine and allied pathway. Different curriculum..

Hello, doctor. I hope all is well with you. I would appreciate it if you could take the time to respond to my longer-than-expected query. If someone is employed as a medical officer in the peripheral areas of DHQ (District Headquarters), such as Umarkot. Does this experience get added to or taken into account for Mr. C.P. Paces and GMC registration?

Almonds are high in oxalates (bad). Spinach is high in oxalates (bad). Eat them if you don't care about your health.
@dr.junaid-aleem4 ай бұрын
It's true that almonds and spinach have higher oxalate levels, which can be a concern for some people, especially those prone to kidney stones. But, for most folks, they can still be part of a balanced diet. Just remember, moderation is key! Almonds are packed with healthy fats and protein, and spinach is a nutritional powerhouse with vitamins and minerals. So, unless your doctor says otherwise, there's no need to banish them completely-just enjoy them as part of a varied diet. Cheers to eating smart! 🥳

@dr.junaid-aleem4 ай бұрын
Almonds can actually be quite beneficial when eaten in moderation. They are rich in nutrients like vitamin E, magnesium, and healthy fats. They can also help with heart health, weight management, and blood sugar control. Of course, as with any food, it's important to consume them as part of a balanced diet. If you have specific health concerns, it's always best to consult with a healthcare professional.

Almonds and spinach are the worst foods to eat if you are prone to kidney stones; they have high amounts of oxalates.
@dr.junaid-aleem4 ай бұрын
It's true that almonds and spinach contain oxalates, which can contribute to the formation of certain types of kidney stones in susceptible individuals. However, they also offer many health benefits. If you have a history of kidney stones, it's important to manage your intake of high-oxalate foods and stay well-hydrated. Consulting with a healthcare professional can provide personalized advice on your diet to help prevent kidney stones.
