Hi Jason. Thx for the great video. Its very helpfull. On thing that was challenging for me while using RE was to figuret out the most efficient way to communicate between different RE. I was using RE custom states and properties but it was hard to maintain in the long run. Currently im using javascriptToBubble element that placed inside the RE is lesten to the events that happen in different RE and reacts accordingly. This works well but maybe U know some better way to do this?

I haven’t tried JS to bubble so I just use custom states to move data back and forth. I have been experimenting with nested popups and “bigger” reusable elements with more config options so I keep most of the data I need within the same RE. Example: a list of events accepts a “do search” search parameter and all the views (list, card, small, edit etc) and groups in the same element.

Nortel, lol. It was a great company. Great videos for dinosaurs like me who used to write code. Thanks, man!

how can we combine two different filters? either 2 dropdowns. imagine a repeating group with different businesses, there's a dropdown to filter by US-State and there's another filter (dropdown or other) that can filter the repgroup by Services offered by the businesses. How can we combine them to search for a specific service in a specific US-State and not have the two filters reset each other when we choose one and then the other?

Hey Jason, I just discovered your channel this week and I wanted to say that your content is amazing. Your way of explaining things is very down-to-earth, helpful and easy to follow. I appreciate that a lot and I'm sure many other people do as well. So thank you very much for what you do and looking forward to seeing your channel grow.

Your arguments are spot on. Many developers don't actually understand the point of no code and this behaviour of rejecting what you don't understand is very typical in angry, stupid people.

agreed! If anything, "real developers" should rejoice, they could pick this stuff up really quickly and make more loot building stuff faster for people.

Hey Jason, great video! Do you have an idea of how to do this for a nav bar using option sets? I'm trying to create a repeating group menu with sub menu items that are also from an option set. So it's kinda like what you're doing just a second layer to it. I'm trying to figure it out but it gets confusing!
@buildstuffwithnocodeАй бұрын
conceptually, it'd be the same, you'd just put the RG inside the floating element. This would be a good idea for a tutorial...

I agree with your points, and I agree with your frustrations BUT as your numbers show, people do not like overly negative videos. Maybe try and be a bit more upbeat about the positives and have a bit of fun while pointing out the stupidity of YT creators. Just my 2 cents.

Like I said in the video, it's only been a couple of months since I started making regular content (all my numbers as you say, have double/tripled in the last month) and other than poking fun at stupid thumbnails I don't think this was overly negative at all. If anything I spun the topic away from what others have said into more useful ideas about creating a product/market fit as opposed to blaming a platform for being a 'scam.'

Thank you, That almost exactly what I did. I created a new DB type with the name followings and inside I am adding the artist type and the number 1. The thing that I add besides your explanation is when the user removes the like it adds -1 so I can capture it all in a chart.

Thank you for this video I implemented it like a king 🙂, It would be great if you can do a video like this with not only current user but with dates and who followed so it can be displayed in charts.
