For the size of the ship I was very surprised by the lack of shops and the massive increase in included dining options and activities.

No Ivón for me I stay with Carnival and smaller ships no hassles.

Smaller ships are also brilliant to, and often offer destinations that the larger ships can’t. Our next trip will be on a ship with a capacity of less than 1000, a we can visit less busy ports. However, there definitely is a place for the larger ships, and for the Caribbean cruises I think this worked amazingly.

Grandeur of the seas is 73,817 gross tonnage and Icon is 248,663 gross tonnage. Pretty big difference 😂
