I thought De La Hoya was robbed against Mosely (2nd fight) and Trinidad. He's much better than the 39-6 record suggests. That said, he was fortunate here.

I just watched this the commentary team are talking garbage what is Roy jones on about Oscar’s fighting the wrong fight he was doing ok he can’t outbox felix what’s he on about.Oscar should never fight these middleweights they to big I don’t think this was a massive robbery oscar did a lot of inside work felix won the later rounds he didn’t do loads tbh.if felix would of piled on way more pressure he’d of won but he didn’t.I don’t mind Oscar’s winning this he definitely lost to ike but they wanted Hopkins next so it’s all rigged anyway.

De La Hoya dominated the early rounds with the body shots and output. No surprise he squeaked by with a narrow decision. Certainly could have went to Sturm tho but not a highway Robbery as some are claiming.

That's because you don't know squat about boxing. Here are some stats for you: Sturm would land 234 of his 541 thrown punches for a 43% success rate, and though De La Hoya would throw well over 200 more punches than Sturm, landed only 188 of his 792 for only a 24% success rate. Sturm also dominated De La Hoya with his jab, landing 112 jabs to De La Hoya's 58. What fight did you watch? Sturm was clearly robbed. And then your "hero" DLH gave up against Hopkins (even Bob Arum admitted DLH gave up against Hopkins because that body punch by Hopkins was not the hardest one Bernard landed in that fight!). You should read the reports by other fighters and experts on this fight. They ALL clearly point out how badly Sturm got the shaft!

This fight could have made sturm an international superstar. Instead tge corruption of boxing reared its ugly head and he got robbed at the most important flight of his life. Felix sturm fought last weekend dec 2nd 2023. And won by knockout against a third tier fighter. He will be turning 45 next year ! PS : he beat oscars ass back then and he still would today!
