Thank you for making this video, good information! If my dog has a fungal skin issue, should I use the oatmeal based conditioner? Oats are a carbohydrate, I always thought fungus thrives on carbohydrates.

Natutal Anti histamines can help to. My girl has had 3. All very different in appearance. One looked like a skin tag. Another a pigment change in the skin. Another a tumor looking bump. Get pathology if you remove it. Removing early when small saves a big wound afterwards. Genetics have a big influence ckit gene. Nutrition and lifestyle can also have a big impact on your dogs health.

Thank you for an excellent presentation, very good information delivered in a clear and direct manner. In my experience veterinarians are not always good at explaining things to owners. I’ve been living with my springer spaniel’s epilepsy for four years now, he started seizing just after turning two years of age. His condition is idiopathic; confirmed by MRI and Spinal Fluid pathology. An initial dose of 60mg Phenobarbital controlled things well for twelve months. Seizure duration and severity were reduced but the frequency stayed around the same; around one a month. However, the frequency started to increase and he started cluster seizures, now, four years into the illness, he’s on 120mg Phenobarbital and 500mg Keppra and we’re losing the battle. Multiple seizures in a day over several successive days and has just had his first episode of Status Epilepticus. 51 seizures so far this year and it’s mid July. He had 44 in total last year. Libromide caused severe side effects and we had to withdraw that hence now trying the Keppra. No good outcome for my boy I fear.

Don't stop the Ivermectin! How much have you been giving her? I would go by the FLOCC Pierre Kory's weight reccomendations for maintenance. Also get her VetSmart Critical Immune Defence. I have my shepherd mix Willa on it. It makes their immune system strong. Willa has lymphoma also. She was diagnosed 3-16-23. I found swollen lymph nodes nodes when giving her a bath on 2-21-23. So far she's doing great. So far we're at 15 months out. I don't agree with your vet though. My vet's specialty is oncology. We have been doing chemo combined with a holistic approach

Just watched your video and it gave me the courage to administer fluids to our 16 year old dachshund in chronic kidney failure. Yes, the Vet showed me how to do it - but this was my first attempt at doing it at home. Your calm demeanor and brief to the point explanation did the trick. Thank you so much.

I don't u/s why no one commented and why so few views. Maybe pet owners can't face it. I just found out my beloved cat has a tumour in her bladder. It was a horrible shock, I'm stunned but now think I should seek out further options even though I don't have much money left after the initial tests.

We adopted our Golden retriever, Millie, aged seven and a half on the second of February 2024. I almost immediately located a small lump on her back. We took her to the vet on 14th March, by which time the lump had grown significantly and was looking very nasty, together with another twenty or so smaller lesions on her back and neck. The vet told us that it could be Lymphoma and we all agreed that if it was the worst case, we would not consider chemotherapy as it is too harsh on any dog. Most dogs don’t last more than four to six months after diagnosis. Some much less. He operated on the following Thursday (March 21) and removed approximately half of the lesions. On the previous Monday (18th) we had commenced her on a course of Ivermectin which we got from our local farm produce store. This was our decision. Thursday 21st March, Lymphoma was confirmed. 2nd April, sutures removed. Most of the remaining lesions had fallen off, leaving just 2. Millie had healed from the operation in an incredible manner. Our vet was amazed. Follow up by the vet was on 15th April by which time the remaining lesions had fallen off. The vet just kept looking at her and said he had never seen this before. Today is the 5th May and Millie is going from strength to strength. Everyone who knows her and her story (quite a lot of people) are delighted and amazed. What we don't know is how long she should be on Ivermectin, what the dose should be and where we go from here. Millie is also on a no carb diet and will remain on it. Any advice would be appreciated.

20:00 how many cats are too many Well, I always had 2 simultaneously. It started out with the recommended bonded pair. But the problem is deaths. From the bonded pair one died at the age of 12 due to a tumor and the buddy didn't cope alone. So you adopt a new cat but obviously, then you have an age difference again. And then they turn out good friends but now the older cat dies before the new adopted one. And that's how it goes. They never die at the same time and the recommended bonded pair of the same age cannot be repeated ever. So now I wonder if I should add a new bonded pair of kitten to my older two which ended up with each other because one cat always is a left over when the buddy dies. Like, then I would have 4. But the advantage maybe is that nobody ever stays the lone left over when tragedy hits? That's my motivation to contemplate the idea of 4 cats. And yes, 4 cats are actually a bit much and it can get very expensive should 4 need intensive vet care simultaneously. But I don't see another way to avoid the problem of one dying and one being left over and not coping as a single cat. And I figure that I should add a same age bonded pair of 2 so that I get 2 teams of 2 that hopefully are buddies with each other instead of getting one third cat and facilitating a 2 against 1 situation.

How would you carry a 48 lb hind leg paralyzed dog?
@vettechhippie93737 ай бұрын
It would have been nice to see all suppies lined out and the chinese finger trap technique used to secure placement. Also gow you would measure the tube prior, what are the land marks for the tube? Vid was soo short. Also the landmarks on radiographs used to ensure proper placement.
