This worked like a charm! Even used the tube (rubber straw) to suck the water out of the drain line since the hot water cooled off too much.

2024 and still helping people out. I did the flip it upside down and pull and lots of gas poured out. Then started right up. Question: If you keep pulling cord does that send new gas into chamber or that only happens when chainsaw is running?

Having trouble removing the bottom shelf, loose at front, unable to remove at back. Could it be frozen? Do not want to break. Yours seemed to lift out easily. Thanks for the advice.
@brianmcdrummerАй бұрын
Yeah it may be frozen. I've heard a lot of people comment that theirs was hard to remove because of built up ice.

Why do you have to unplug it? And, how do you suck the water out of the tube that you put in?
@brianmcdrummerАй бұрын
I did for safety. You could use a wet dry vac.

What is that rectangular opening underneath the drain? It's visible at 3:15. I am dealing with ice buildup on this model right now, and that opening was full of ice. I melted it and put some hot water down there, but it's not coming out the drain in the back. I can feel one drain get hot when I put hot water down, but the other stays cold and dripping....guessing the freezer needs to be taken apart just like the fridge portion in this video, but I haven't found a guide for that yet
@mb_10242 ай бұрын
That rectangular opening is a port for cold air to go in, to reach the wide drawer at the bottom of the fresh food compartment. It's not part of the drain.

Brian, do you have a video on the GE Profile french door refrigerator light stop working? I noticed that sometimes it would not turn on if one door stayed closed. Most times it would turn on if only one door was open. Today the light is not turning on period.

It's the same place where you check the fluid level. Just use a small funnel.

What’s causes the drain tube to freeze? How can I avoid this happening?
@t5353mАй бұрын
if you look at the bottom middle of the heating element (the black tubular piece at 2:40 in the vid), there's' a silver piece of metal riveted on there. That should have a protruding piece that goes to the top of the drain tube. When the element heats, the heat gets transferred to the metal piece and thaws the ice plug. However, it's too short and doesn't do it's job. Lousy engineering

I have been trying to get this saw running for 3 weeks now, tried all these things. Had it running today, been trying to get it running again for 40 mins now. Not sure what the problem is but I'm returning this saw tomorrow due to the fact the craftsman I bought years ago actually started and did what I needed it to do. Then it stopped running and I though I'd get a bigger saw and now I regret going with this particular brand because holy heck I don't see why it's been such a pain to start. The craftsman had the instructions right on the saw and it worked, I won't lie I abused the heck out of it and is probably why I couldn't get it to start no more but it was only $150, I just spent $500 on this Echo 590 and only managed to get it running once and that was today after giving it a 2 week break, now it's flooded again and none of these "tips" have worked. I'm exhausted and annoyed, just going to go get another craftsman or order one online. I bought this saw because at this time the stores both home depot and lowes have been sold out of most of the saws, it was either the smallest saw or the biggest. This time I'm just going to go in the middle and probably order it online.

The fastest way to cut down a tree is to start with a stump. :) This works, until it don't. After a few years (of leaving fuel in the carb) it gets more finicky. Tricks if it gets flooded: turn the choke off, fix the throttle full on (with tape or a rubber coated wire wrap) and pull it 20-30 times until it "un-floods", or pull the plugs and pull the cirds 4-6 times full choke until it stops spraying fuel. (Cover the plug hole with a clean cloth or paper towel or you may get sprayed a little). These flood relatively easily. There is a "carb adjustment" fix but I didnt buy a chainsaw to pull the carb, remive factiry parts and hopefully tune by ear a chainsaw I didnt manufacture. They need a bit more air from my reads. Over n out
@USQuailCoop5 ай бұрын
When you clear the cylinder of fuel, i would assume you could use a paper towel over the cylinder to catch the spray.
