Dumb question but. Aren't you guys worried about bugs, roaches, etc falling on you. I mean, I just had my ceiling replaced today. Took 7hrs. I can't stand the thought of something falling on me.

As long as it is 300mm from the outside edge you should be fine. You just don't want to be in line with the outside edge

With good boarding you can get away with that, the shit they leave us here is horrendous. Some butts end up being 6+ feet wide in order to be flat. 😮‍💨

We used to work with Hilti / Festool / DeWalt / Würth and Makita…. The best price / quality is the Makita .. that’s a fact … The Hilti’s are overpriced

Yeah it's the brand, they do that a bit here, so you can see that you have gone over the last coat and also maybe so it's easier to see where to sand. I think that's why anyway. Cheers mate

I don't see the point in using two tools for that .... I just use the 12" mud knife style with a mud pan ..... I never used the Hawk and Trowel method

I used the pan on the West Coast for about 6 years. Moved back East, the pan fell apart and I've been using the hawk for 30 years. More comfortable, easier to use and to clean, I can do a better job. I have used a trowel for plaster but the knife is the way I go for mud.

So I had torn drywall paper (from chair rail removal). Smoothed it out as best as can be. Used glue over entire torn paper surface. Also applied Roman pro 999 paper sealer. Then did quick set hot mud easy45. I still got some air pockets you see bend inward when you press your finger against them Any suggestions how to rectify those problem areas? Thanks much
