Hannibal led me here, and as I expected, it was a work by Debussy. What a beautiful piece! I might also try playing it on the piano.

one of my favourite preludes. Problem is JS Bach gave very few performance indicators - “andante” in this case, and this is very well played at about 96bpm - but for me this is just a little too slow to bring out the sustained notes. Bearing in mind the limitations of clavichords +early pianos (which this was likely composed for since sustained notes mean nothing on a harpsichord) I suspect he may have intended a quicker speed to bring these out. As ever with JS Bach the performer must read the music very carefully if the intricate +beautiful details are to be brought out

This is the first piece of Chopin i heard. This version of the etude for me is te best, but i don't understand one thing --> Horowitz his version he plays a very low(octave) D# at minute 1:31, i never hear this in other recordings. When i hear other recordings i really miss this low note at the eruption of this piece. Can someone explain?
