I say for myself that a lot of the love for the country is also because I live abroad for nearly 2 decades, I didn't appreciate many things when I was living there, like how I miss the food, think Portuguese food is one of the best and is so cheap to eat and drink out (not as much as like a few years ago though). The weather is nice but also too hot in the summer for me, go to Beja in July and you die... Burocracy is ridiculous, there's a lot ofcurroption and to get a good job you need 'a cunha' (know someone to reference you)... Portugal is a nice country if you have money, but for nationals is really hard to live with a salary, rents are the same as in the UK, cmon

We rock photovoltaic panels for solar power and store extra energy in lithium batteries, so we’ve got juice even at night. Our levada water irrigation system keeps our food garden, herb garden, and orchard looking lush and green (once planted and grown of course). We’ve got 70% UV block glass and mirror panels to keep the sun’s heat out. A heat pump gives us hot water, and our automated temperature control (powered by solar) keeps things comfy inside. Rain sensors make sure we don’t over-water, and wind sensors protect our shutters. Plus, a sunlight sensor decides when to turn on the outdoor lights. We’ve also got tank sensors that prioritize using levada and rainwater before tapping into the mains supply. We can't wait to make a video about all this, as being 100% self-sufficient is one of the greatest features of our home. Especially in this day and age! 😄

I never tried Ayahuasca but very interesting what everyone describes and the proved benefits. A good alternative I would say is implementing mindfulness in your daily life, I see similar results (being more positive,present and less stressed) after putting into practice Eckart Tolle's teachings. 'The Power of Now' book changed my life, how I handle life situations and how I'm now open to challenges rather than letting everything become stressful, not that my mind is more quiet in overall, but you don't get involved so much with the thoughts (like don't believe them, their just a passing thought). I'm now able to be present and not just in my mind all the time... much love to you both

Maybe you could show us some traditional danish dishes or cook some traditional portuguese meal, cozido was hard enough to find eheh maybe a good option as we usually eat those at home, if you invite some friends over is a good reason to cook that amount of food (not worth for a couple I guess). Oh I'm still ctaching up to your videos, have you showed your hometown yet? would be nice to also get to see your country or city. Keep it up :)
