Would be good to have this side by side with the third person view. Difficult to know what your body is doing from this viewpoint.

Thanks for the tips and advice. I’ve been a cheer and tumble coach for about 8 years now. I feel like I am still learning new things from other coaches and individuals that I coach weekly. Experience is key. Once again, thank you for the time

Can you do a video on hand placement for round off and whether or not we swing our arms in back handspring when first learning? I use your drills at work. I feel bad cause everyone thinks I’m a genius now.

2:54 I thought that is the correct sitting position for backhandspring ? I was told u must think of it as sitting down a chair then jump backwards. Isn't she jumping too high now ?

What if what makes you nervous and causes you to be scared of not doing the skill but being nervous when I am on a single panel floor that I might go sideways in my tumbling and get hurt? Bc that is the main struggle for me.

What would you do about a student who doesn’t have the progressions for a skill but they still practice that skill at home even after you have explained to them why it’s not safe?

i broke my arm doing fulls 3 years ago and i quit cheer because of it. i came back a few months ago with a huge mental block and i have my back handspring but i can do a tuck without a spotter but someone has to stand there even if they aren’t close. i’ve been trying to get over it cause if i want to cheer i have to have my 2 and up but for some reason i just can’t get over that mental block even though i never fell on that mat and i do them by myself. it’s confusing to my coaches and me, but i’m hoping i can get over it soon.

Thank you so much I worked my way up to a full and got a mental block from coming to practice stressed out and it caused me to not land correctly because I didn’t have as much power and my coaches were not understanding in high school so now I’m trying to overcome the anxiety and mental block so I can cheer in college

I had my back handspring 4 years ago but i broke my arm and i was fearful of it, then two years ago i got over it and tried a back handspring again, i broke my arm once again, i have been on the same level for 5 years and i am very upset. I have been trying and I’m slowly getting back into the flow of it, but my confidence is always on and off and that’s what makes it all difficult.

Previously, it was thought that being light helps you to get higher.. but you can only gain so much muscle and stay “super skinny” (like the gymnasts from the 60’s-90’s) I love that Simone and others have shown us that you can be heavier and still move with such skill and precision. Instead of being light, they are heavier, but heavier from PURE muscle! Which, in turn, that muscle helps them propel their jump higher due to power, and helps land more solid! No wobbly legs on landing thanks to that muscle. The strength helps absorb the fast momentum.. plus, you have to eat A LOT of healthy good to gain and maintain such muscles… yay for not having to starve yourself to meet “body standards”. Screw that! Be strong and eat well, and you will still fly with grace :D muscles are still beautiful and graceful in my opinion. What is graceful is a subjective opinion. You don’t have to be super slim to have grace and fluidity

@@Plantbased7 it’s clearly that you are upset that the black athletes are the best!!!! Black people bodies are totally different compared to other race, however when we exercise our body structures will tend to show more and that’s why we are stronger!! When it comes to playing sports like gymnastic, basketball, tennis, swimming, volleyball, Soccer and hockey which blacks have started this sports a long time ago! Do your research. And other sports!!!!!! Hey you know what’s up! Don’t play that..... oh no they were born as a man! You sound stupid at this point!
