I know it's a different comparison, but how would this fare in singletrack between a DR650? The reason I ask is I had a DR for many years and it could also do singletrack. Even though it's lighter, it does carry its weight higher up than this 450MT. Wondering if you've ever used a DR offroad and had any insight into potential singletrack performance between the 2 models?

15psi works for the stock tires. Tried it already on similar trails and I don't even try to avoid medium sized hits (baby heads) to test out the suspension. Also used it on an mx track with the same tire pressure with decent sized jumps and even landing flat, no probs with the rims. Those saying that 20psi will destroy the rims probably don't even have the same bike to begin with. Pretty envious of that trail you've got though 🙂

Excellent video. Great information. Do I understand you correctly? That the settings you made have have softened and smoothed out the hits? I have the MT and find the suspension a bit 'harsh'. (About to have its first service.) I just explore. 75year old and 95kg. I will never be hammering over the technical stuff and feel that less reactive suspension might 'jolt' less and give me better control. I have never been a dirt bike rider and never owned a bike with adjustable front suspension before. Back in the day we used to have fun in the bush with old road bikes. We geared them down to crawl over rough stuff because the clutches would burn out if you slipped them all the time. I find the MT very nimble to handle and secure but a bit more top heavy when moving very slowly than the bikes I am used to. I am going to drop the frame down by that 20mm. Should be good. Great all round bike, which is why I bought it. Well made too. And the motor is a hooligan. Cheers.
