Saw ELP 15X , ELPOWELL, 3 4X, KEITH and Greg then Palmers ELP Legacy. Got to meet the band 3/4 of those times! Am so glad! Palmer is coming to Albany in 2025.

ELP classic and timeless. Arsenio who?
@americanlocation2011Ай бұрын
Miss these guys terribly, their music helped me thru my teenage years and gave me hope. Each of them was a musical genius, is there an artist today that can match them in terms of skill or versatility? A drummer as explosive and subtle as Carl Palmer? A songwriter who can write songs and sing them with such depth and passion as Greg Lake? A keyboard or piano player as good as Keith Emerson? I listened to some John Legend and Pharell Williams and their stuff on piano was nice to listen to but in terms of skill it was very average, just melodic and repetitive in a narrow range of 1 or 2 chords. Thats typical for most music I hear these days. If some group comes along with the talent and musical originality of ELP then Ill happily listen but I haven't heard anyone that can touch them. Not even close.

ugh. So sad to hear this version of this song where Lake's voice is shot and the whole thing sounds sluggish. Very sad about his and Emerson's deaths.

What a horrible interview by Arsenio. He was rude, disrespectful and clearly uninterested. Saying Manticore sounds like something you'd wipe off the bottom of your shoe? wtf One of the greatest groups and best musicians of all time, and Arsenio didn't know who they are, or care. Keith, Greg and Carl were all very gracious. Anyway.....one of the most beautiful Christmas songs ever! RIP Greg and Keith.

Shame about Lakes voice, once upon a time one of the best. They were massive and so well respected in the 70’s, second only to Zeppelin by the mid 70’s.

What a great band; I miss Keith and Greg a lot. I mean their presence, because they will always live in their music. By the 90s they were great in all aspects: the music (adapted to those years but the essence remained), their looks, so stylish and classy.... With regards to the matter, I don't recognise Carl Palmer today. He has aged very badly, he is always very scruffy, considering he is a guy who always led a healthy lifeaty ans took great care of himself. I met Mike Rutherford last year, he is Carl's same age and he looks splendid! Same Steve Hackett... Well, an opinion. I've always thought that such artists should take care of their looks as s much as their music for respect to the people.
